I had alot of problems moving my Internet from BT to Plusnet. Something to do with Open reach. However Usma remained on the case throughout and the issue was resolved and I am finally with Plusnet. I also got my £150 reward card. Thank you Usma for your help.

Fobbed off to incompetent Greenby

We have been customers of Plusnet for 17 years and have always been happy with them. Their staff have always been very patient with me on the rare occasion I've had to contact them, as a pensioner with limited tech knowledge that was greatly appreciated but they have gone way down in my estimation since they passed our email service over to Greenby, what a shambles! Shame on you Plusnet!!

Terrible customer service

Used to be good but in the last few years, I've had endless issues. I have to move house quite a bit and each time I move, I give them plenty of .notice but regardless, seem to have issues. Most recently, I was told to take the router with me and plug it in at the new home, the assistant said 'hopefully that will work'. When I did, it of course didn't work so they said they'd send another router that would be with me the next day. It arrived 2 days later and still didn't work. Each time I called them, I was told different information. I was then told to wait for a phone call to book an engineer, this never happened so I had to chase again. Eventually, the engineer came out and it was a quick fix but I was without internet for 10 days - I work from home. The most frustrating part is that they promise to call back or sort something out and never do. This has been the overriding experience with them for the last 5 years. I will not be renewing my contract.

How are you still in business and trading...???

They promised a speed and given the rural location of our home was completely neglected, needless to say that the service has been beyond bad since day one. Not a single attempt to try to improve, no compansation, nothing - despite the million calls when we reported service outage. Today I was rebooting my systems more than what I worked as signal kept dropping out all day. I work from home - you cannot imagine my frustration...

You have to wait for ever

As my internet contract was up I ordered Full Fibre service on 23rd Sep 2025 and it was supposed to start 7th Oct 2025. Yesterday 19th Jan 2026 after 7 engineer visits (2 no shows) a dozen phone calls, 27 texts from Openreach, 22 texts from Plusnet and 42 emails from them it finally started so If you like reading lots of emails and texts plus talking to really nice people who cannot get much done and don't mind waiting nearly 4 months for your service then this is the company for you.

Promised call not received

Having suffered recent dissatisfaction with our longstanding broadband provider, I called Plusnet last Friday 16th to discuss the options. Dillon was helpful and promised to call me back at 1pm today to finalise the deal. No call has been received. One potential customer lost, but in the meantime I had read other reviews of Plusnet. Shocking! A close escape, maybe....

Expect huge delays and plus net to lie to you.

Haven't even got set up yet - plus net have reached out to open reach to fit cables and said It will be done in 2 weeks... Great, il just use data until then and switch over. No issues. So 2 weeks later, engineer is going to come out today, my profile says it's being installed today. Check my emails to see it's suddenly going to 3 months until this happens. I rang plus net to be told it's not them, they need to wait for permission. Okay fair enough, this isn't something plus net can do as its the council which are needing to sort this. But how come I didn't have any warning? An engineer came out and checked it prior and had no mention of this. I also have now had to go and buy a £200 router + SIM as Plusnet aren't helping at all for this. Im tempted to cancel all my plus net subscriptions and just use this 5g router going forwards.

Slow or unavailable webmail and data leaks

They had a massive data leak and possibly still having security issues. A few years ago my password to my Plusnet email was sent to me by hackers and they demanded a lot of money in Bitcoin. I changed the password and this stopped. However still I am being snowed under emails offering fake bags and watches and other scams. lack of any security measures at Plusnet is extremely concerning. Plusnet were undergoing email migration for months if not years, I can only guess how much this unproductive project cost to the investors, but the users are still experiencing extremely slow webmail, where it takes several hours of messages to arrive. nevermind attachments still can't be sent. Plusnet is a subsidiary of BT, which must be very embarrassing for the parent company. Keep away from this dreadful service!
