I've been using Quora for about 2.5 yrs, and for the past year ive been harassed by one or more mods.My answers started being repeatedly violated without any explaination. They were also being deleted, and I was once suspended without cause. I reported these things to the help center, and immediately my answers were restored and my account suspension was lifted.
After that, I've had several other things happen on my profile, and in my Quora space. First I was mysteriously removed from 4 different spaces I was a contributor in. When I contacted the admins, they each said that they had not known I had been removed, and in checking the admin log, no one had removed me. I was reinstated in each. Then some time later, I was again removed from two other spaces. I reported this because it was obviously happening behind the scenes of Quora.
After that, multiple answers which had been up for months, were suddenly being violated and deleted. New questions I was answering were suddenly only getting ONE view, and the views were not going up. This said to me that they were being downvoted. My account was being watched. Once I answered a question and the minute I pressed publish, it was immediately deleted. I hadn't even had time to review it. A mod was watching me write that answer.
Next, one of the admins of my own space was suddenly removed. I had not removed them and they had not removed themselves. Then, at least three posts I posted in my space, had the contents inside of the posts removed. The posts were there, but they were left empty inside.
Lastly, my followers were being removed, and are still being removed. Dec.2020-Jan. 2021 (about 6 weeks) my number was at 169, and every time it got to 170, it was immediately put back down to 169 later the same day, or the next day. I would get new follower notifications, but the number never went up. I reported this in early Feb. 2021, and afterward, my number went from 169 to 183. Now its happening again, not even a month later. The number gets to 184, I get a notification, then the number is immediately back down to 183. I just reported this the other day, and since then the number has gone to 187.
I believe I am being targeted because I am a Christian. My space is a Christian space too. This mod (or mods) dont like my answers, or possibly of another religion. I am being harassed on a daily basis. I've also had my email hacked this past year, and a credit card number stolen--this may not have been done by a mod, but then again it happened when the harassment started last year. So this could've very well been done by this Quora mod.
I wrote to Quora founder Adam D'Angelo and within 11 hrs of writing him, I received an email (not on Quora, to my personal email) from a Jeremy Stephenson, telling me that my personal website was teaching a counterfeit satanic gospel. They said they could back up their statements, but when I invited them to share their thoughts, they've become a ghost. This email was obviously sent by a quora employee. The timing of this email is just too coincidental-and fishy that theyve not responded back. Ive had my website up for 3 months and ive never been contacted by the public...until after i emailed adam.
I've submitted multiple reports and nothing gets done. They don't care about people's safety, nor do they care that their mods abuse their power.

Quora can be very useful sometimes and does create discourse on a range of different topics and ideas.
..However..
The website is full of weirdos.For every reasonable topic, there are multiple unreasonable ones. Strange questions being asked (usually by trolls), but also by people who are mentally disturbed.
There are so many threads that are disgusting to read and have made me feel physically sick. Even the title of the discussion was enough to make me feel extremely uncomfortable. Pedophiles, sex offenders etc asking weird things, posing as teenagers and asking inappropriate questions purely to fulfil their weird fetish. It's disgusting. Moderation does nothing about these people but they are more than happy to censor political ideas they don't agree with. I have reported so many of these pedophile and weird sex offender type profiles but never anything gets done about it. I would not recommend using this website at all.

The moderation on this site does not make any logical sense at all.
You have people blatantly trolling posts and telling people they need to grow a brain.When you reply to their comment and call them out for causing problems for no reason, then your messages are deleted by moderation?
It seems that they support trouble makers and trolls but pc police kick in when you don't stand back and call them out.
Example:

This site is junk. Anyone can have a post deleted, whether it's warranted or not. The moderation is off the walls.Nothing they do makes any sense. Posts will just mysteriously disappear. The moderators have no clue what they're doing. There's no consistency. It's just a waste of time.
You may take the time to type out a helpful, reasonable answer or comment, only to find out that it didn't post and just disappeared.
The moderation is definitely very overzealous. I'm not exactly new to the internet, and I've never seen anything like it. Make sure your stuff actually posts, or you might be just wasting your time.
EDIT: Ok, I don't like Quora, but some of these reviewers are nuts.

I never signed up.I never joined any of their threads. Never commented. Never go to Quora for anything. And I never will.
I don't know how they got my email. I have unsubscribed from them a bunch of times and nothing works. They send me horrible CRUEL EMAILS ABOUT CREMATION AND PEOPLE DYING. I wish Quora had an ounce of integrity but they clearly do not. I question both the legitimacy of this company and feel they are harassing me nonstop for no reason.
