The appointment services over the phone is a nightmare. There is ONLY ONE pediatrician for Orlando,Kissimmee, and Ocoee area. There is not availability within months, and they pushed you to do virtual appointments only or refer you to go Urgent Care. No all appointment are good for virtual. Paying a health insurance and no receiving services for lack of personnel to work in each location.

Their web app is always broken. Prescriptions cannot be downloaded, doctors can never get the video chat to work.There is no way to contact your doctor outside of making a video appointment and the video appointments almost always break an then there is no way to contact the doctor without making a new appointment days in advance. Since COVID, they removed their online chat service so there is no way to get technical or customer support for these problems. The provided phone numbers either automatically hang up, or people answer with no idea or access or ability to assist, they then transfer to the numbers that automatically hang up

The problem with this cover is that a lot of the services you require are not covered through Sanitas within the larger or private hospital and clinics,eg in Marbella, there are many centres for physio, but not many that work with Sanitas, You will usually find that you have to go to one of their own clinics, which are not to the same standard as others. Or if you need to see a dermo, they will tell you no appointments available and they don't when they will be, but you can have one immediately if you pay to see a different private specialist who doesn't work with Sanitas! They also don't make it obvious that if you choose the policy with co-payment, once you exceed the allowance included, they do not charge per visit, but per process, eg go to GP = 1 charge, GP gives you an injection for pain = 2 charge, then you will get sent for an x ray then an MRI, then a follow up etc, so you can see how quickly the 7 euro charges build up

Insurance Spain better via Spanish speaking English agent

The issues with Sanitas Medical Insurance are no different than most Spanish big corporative companies.With Sanitas the product is good but communication and customer service is poor. For cover along with DKV and AXA they are the best in Spain. Delivering the product is where the insurers FAIL. For British none Spanish speakers they are usually sold a policy and have no clue about specifics particularly with process.
The way forward is to always take out any Spanish Insurance through a bilingual agent who offers full support in English. The Agents have access to head office when there are issues whilst you with NO AGENT only get a not very good call centre. Look up a Google Review for agents as an example try Tailor Made Healthcare Spain and see what the customers say. There are many agents not all offer support but those who do may save you a lot of misunderstandings and call centre frustrations.

NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL, ABYSMAL. My wife needs an urgent operation on an epigastric hernia and we were referred to a hospital in Valencia.We attended initially for a scan and diagnosis then returned for a further appointment with the surgeon at which time she was given a date for surgery the following week. Sanitas now say we can not use that hospital also they do not recognize the procedure reference number provided by the surgeon. To add insult to injury they also say we will have to pay for it as you have to have had your policy for 300 days or more for them to pay the cost of surgery, something they conveniently didnt make clear when the policy was sold to us. So we are back to square one with my wife understandably stressed out.
As an aside I asked Sanitas where our nearest A+E department is and the nearest Sanitas affiliated one is an hour's drive away in central Valencia, but we could initially get urgent treatment locally allegedly but they couldnt give me a list of places with opening times. Laughably the Sanitas employee I spoke to was full of glee to tell me that I actually dont need an appointment for emergency treatment, well how kind of you, unbelievable. The call centre did pick up quickly but have that horrifying combination of over politeness, detachment and no common sense.

My husband & I took out their top dental policy. To say the clinic we attended was rude, changed times,dates etc at the last minute was the least of our worries. They are quick enough to take your money but when they make a huge mistake they will not own up to it & you will be out of pocket for a huge amount of money.
I do not recommend the company, please stay well clear especially expats they have no time for us. A totally xenophobic company.
No understanding whatsoever of Customer Service.
