Bought the GL300 on a Thursday and paid Spytec $50 to have it here, in Kentucky, by that Saturday because it was unexpectedly needed Sunday.The tracking authorization takes 24 hrs, once purchased, before it is active. That would all be fine and good but they don't have any, zero, tracking plans available on their GPS activation site. There is no phone number to call and talk to someone, they keep you at arm's length, so they don't have to deal with you. I played by their rules (like I had a choice) and a hour and a half after I emailed their "support" what I assume to be a person but could have been a bot, Damion, emailed and said they were having problems and he'd have billing contact me so I could get activated in plenty of time but I had to send my phone number. I sent it 3 hours ago...I've emailed three times since then... no response..this is a frustration that I paid for...like buying a Rubik's cube...I'd certainly recommend going elsewhere for your GPS tracker this bunch can't find their tails with both hands...read more

Worked great for a week.. now it wont update the GPS at all. Was kept in its case, never even got wet.holds a full charge but still says its miles from here and traveling 45mph. Stay away. All I keep getting told is to restart it and take a trip with it. On a clear day, still gets no signal. Waste of money.read more

I’ve had 2 of these. When they work it’s fantastic. When there is a problem it takes forever for their customer service to get it resolved.When it’s working, it’s fantastic. But if you have problems it takes forever to get resolved. I’ve currently been told twice they will replace it for free. It hasn’t worked for 2 weeks and they’re still jacking around trying to send it an update. Terrible customer service. They just keep passing you on to the next person.read more

I purchased a device from Spytec. It didn't work, so after several attempts to get it working I sent it back.I did see a few days worth of data before it quit working again, but then I also saw several days of data from before I received the device. I believe they sent me one that had been previously used and returned and they did a poor job of erasing the old data. They did not refund me the cost of the device once I mailed it back- saying they never got it. They did not refund me the monthly subscription fee either. Customer service and tech support was pretty nice, but ultimately it was all a giant waste of time and money. I have no idea how a company can sell you a refurbished device as "new" then refuse to refund you any money once you've returned it. Seems illegal.read more

DO NOT BUY THIS!!! 1.) They say lifetime guarantee. I had my device for 2 month and it stopped working.I called to have them replace it. They charge for $20 handling PLUS I had to pay to mail it back. 2.) When I got the new device I lost all my data. I had to go to court to show my employee lied and was working his own accounts instead of my accounts. Using my car, equipment and on my time. BUT when time came I could not show the data because I only had the date from the new device. 3.) After 2 weeks of calling an

Now I have the device. I went on line to activate it. It won't activate. Say I have to talk to tech. BUT THERE IS NO TECH. Then I went on line to "chat" Can't find where to chat. Mind you my device is only about 9 month old ant it has stopped working twice. I have my 3rd device and it is not working.read more

Have been using Spytec for almost a year with good service and few issues. However they have changed to a new “platform” and it’s absolutely horrible!They had to send me replacement trackers because they were suddenly no longer able to locate or activate my trackers due to issues on their end. Even with the replacements, the new platform is useless. They took something that wasn’t “broke” and tried to fix it. Tracking is ridiculously complicated with unexplained gaps in locations. I was going to hang with them and see it through until they fixed the bugs, but this is more than bugs, they have big issues on their end with no sign of resolution. Customer service is poor because they are so swamped with trying to handle all of the issues with the new system. Unfortunately I’m going to have to find another system for tracking. Also, battery life on the new replacement trackers is half of what it used to be on the old ones.read more

Old platform is the bomb, I loved it! This new one is a significant downgrade from what the old one could do.I cannot even follow my tracker in real time. The the map is not using google maps any longer, but using mapbox, so the images I'm looking at are often way of date. My house shows a shed that has been torn down for 7 years. Wow, now that's a useless map. I can tack better with an old i phone tossed in the vehicle. I'm not gonna keep paying for this.read more
