Horrible Customer Service

I had a horrible experience with Stubhub's customer service. I would be very wary of buying anythingfrom Stubhub if you think there's even a remote possibility that you'll have to engage their customer service team to resolve any issue. I'd purchased tickets for a show for $650 back before the pandemic, and when the pandemic caused the show to be cancelled, Stubhub came out with a promotion to allow you to either get a full refund or take a credit of 120%. I decided to take the 120% so that I could do fun outdoors activities with my kids (120% of $650 is a lot of money!) The emails they sent out gave instructions on how to accept the offer, but when I logged in those options weren't available to me. So, I called Customer Service... Several attempts to call failed because I didn't have the time to wait on the long holds (wasn't expecting to wait more than 15min), so I went digging for a customer service email option or even a virtual chat....nothing.... Finally, when an email came out saying the end of the promotion was a few days away, I decided to find a couple hours and just do the hold game. Sure enough, after being on hold for 54min, I finally spoke to a human being. She was perfectly nice, but she told me she couldn't resolve the issue and that she'd need to pass my case on to the technical team. When I hadn't heard anything in a couple days, I called back, but again the wait times on hold were too long and I didn't get through. Finally, I ended up getting an email saying my money was being refunded, so I called and sat on hold again, until I finally got through to someone. I then spent longer on the phone with a CS agent who literally kept repeating the same words over an over indicating that the promotion was over (despite my attempts to take advantage of the promotion before it ended) and that they would not honor it. I politely asked to speak with a supervisor after she said she couldn't help me, but she placed me on hold for another several minutes and came back and said there were no supervisors available due to the high volume of calls. I spoke with her more (very politely)...kind of to see how long I could get her to talk to me....it was a game for me at that point since I was never going to get to take advantage of this promotion. I kind of enjoyed just being very polite and seeing if I could get her to see it from my perspective, but she kept reading from a script or something that said "the promotion is over". Eventually, I asked to speak to a supervisor again, and she said "okay" and put me on hold....I was on hold for 15 more minutes, and then they hung up on me. In all, I estimate I spent about 4 hours trying to resolve this issue, but had no luck despite my very reasonable request and situation. I always believe, having a calm demeanor, showing people on the other end of the phone respect, and being polite is the best way to handle these types of situations, but in this case....with Stubhub, there is no hope of good customer service.

IF YOU BUY FROM STUBHUB AFTER READING THIS YOU'RE AN IDIOT! They are the worst company on the face of the planet.Even including North Korea and Afghanistan. Bought 2 tickets for Van Gogh show in Austin. Wrote the producer next day to exchange for better time. Producer wrote back tickets are FRAUD! FAKE! Called StubFk. Waited 2 hours to talk to a robot named Jaba the Hut who in a monotonal drone told me I had to be Columbo and prove the maker of the tickets is not pulling a "Fast one". Unfknbelieveble. StubHub won't even take the event organizer's claim the tickets are fake! Even with email proof! I think Mr. Monotone was jerking off in a closet thinking how he screwed another customer for FlubHub. DON'T BUY TICKETS FROM THESE BANDITS!!!!!! JUST TELL THEM TO FK OFF AND HANG UP APPLY FOR A CHARGEBACK!

Bought tickets for NHL game which due to covid seats were unavailable. The tickets were over $300 each with fees over $700 for both for center ice.We sat further away with graciousness from the stadium. When notifying stubhub, the said the tickets were not fake because they were scanned and I was able to get in the building. That is was not their problem the stadium made seats unavailable and I should be happy I was given admission, I did not get a refund to adjust the cost even though the seat that was available on there website that was equivalent were $116 ea. So I guess standing room is the same as front row so never pay the cost difference. They said they could do more if I contacted them when it happened and I did multiple phone attempts that were unanswered and multiple that were not sent to a real web address and were sent back, I had to wait until they were next open, I got 20% back and not close to the equivalent price.

I have been on hold for over an hour and I believe they avoid the phone calls so they do not have to provide refunds.This is absolutely ridiculous! I tried to purchase tickets for a Charlotte Miami basketball game. They charged me for the tickets and I NEVER got the tickets. I have been on hold 4 different times to try and get this resolved and they will never take my call.

this company legitimately made me suicidal again. sold a ticket and was told that i would get paid 5-8 business days after transferring the ticket.However, now they are saying they won’t pay me until AFTER the concert happens. that is over 4 months away, and I am an unemployed college student who needed those funds to afford housing. because of this my housing is no longer stable. the buyer AND stub hub have their ticket/money and i have to wait months for money i desperately need because they falsely advertised. absolutely turned me into someone who calls and yells over the phone. I’m not even sure i will receive the money because of what i have already experienced. please do not even think about this company bc it will give you a mental illness.

I would like to delete my account or even my credit card. There is no way to do this online.There is no way to open a ticket or chat with them. The only way to get in touch is to call and wait in an endless queue. The lack of these most fundamental features in 2021 is so customer unfriendly it amazes me they haven't been sued. Shame on this company. Clearly don't care about modern Internet standards nor treating their customers right.
