Excellent website, easy to order but the after sales service is TERRIBLE. Call centre is useless.Get ready to be on hold for 20 to 30 mins at a time.Rather pay a bit extra from else where and get better after sales service cause after Takealot delivers to you, they don’t care if the item is broken.

I ordered an air fryer as a gift for my mum. Takealot promised delivery within 7 days.Yesterday I was notified that they have lost my order and that the item is now out of stock. I had to order a new one that was 40% more expensive, and I had to pay in the difference. Before they notified me that they lost the item, for the last week they have been notifying my mum that it would be delivered every day, and cancelled with an excuse at the end of the day. She had been sitting around at home, waiting for this delivery for a week, and it was never going to come. I complained about all of this and they sent me a really half-baked apology that wasn't an apology at all. I can't believe how poor the service at this company is and how little they care about the inconvenience, disappointment, and additional expense their incompetence has caused. I will not be using them again and I strongly advise anyone else from spending your money with these people.

Takealot is currently the best online shopping experience in South Africa in 2021.The app and website layout is top notch and so is the checkout and delivery service. Why only 3/5? Have had them reply with nonsensical excuses not to split large orders however the dishonesty in their product review process is where they lose. I have posted a few product reviews however only the good ones are ever published. I have spotted fake items and Takealot will not post the review. This shows some dishonesty in the company and while their processes and service are excellent, this behaviour leaves doubt in the back of ones mind when things don't go the way as Takealot has planned.

I bought a cell phone at takealot hawei y7 On the 11 march 2021 they said the estimated delivery dayis the 16 march 2021 On the 16th i called to findout how far with my order since i did not get an sms saying ur order is out for delivery A consultant said the delay is with the courrier the parcel will be delivered by the 19 march 2021 before 5 pm I am still waiting ,the sad part is that i called earlier on today(19 march 2021) and a consultant said my order will be deliverd today before 5 pm My oder number is 84963661
