Stay away from Teachable.

Finally a review portal that does not censors the truth. Trying to login to Teachable is really frustrating.The login problem, the confusion between signing in as a students vs a school. The caching issue when you are a student of multiple courses by different authors hosted under Teachable. Udemy seem to do this effortlessly but not Teachable. Teachable puts you through all kinds of loops if you use shared computers and tend to switch desktop computers or having to switch from a desktop to a laptop. This is 2021 - I have a Macbook, a Mac and an iPad. Yet teachable insists on verifying every time I logon via a different device from my last session. Support is non-existent. From the interface, you can tell this company sees customer support as a burden or a liability, not part of the branding or customer experience. No support, no chatbot, nothing. Even my $5/month web hosting company has a live support! And i cant't help but wonder why they dare to charge steep prices to course creators and NOT provide decent line of support?!! Beyond ridiculous.

No way to reach support as a student concerning REFUND
Logged into my account and clicking Help it shows me a page "You can't do that".I already contacted the school few days ago, they answered promptly that they don't care about the 30 day money return policy from teachable and they are not going to return any money, so I thought I reach out to teachable's customer support.. which apparently doesn't exist.. Totally disappointed.. For everyone, be super careful if you want to purchase a course via Teachable, be ready to say goodbye to the money if you don't like the course.. I gave up on my course on the second day.. and I want my money back.. and if the school doesn't respect the policy (in my case).. no customer support will be there to help you.. Good luck trying to find a way to contact them as a student.. really best of luck!!
EDIT: By scrolling through the reviews here I found the following email address support[at]teachable[dot]com will give it a try and update about the experience..

Unresponsive support. As a student, there's NO easy way for you to directly contact the school,or Teachable. The knowledgebase is a loophole for you to go through their "ticket system" of contacting the school owner and could not find their simple support email anywhere on their knowledgebase. Stay away, and as I was unsatisfied with my course & teachable platform, I am requesting a refund. They do have a "Teachable’s refund policy for students makes it mandatory for school owners to fulfill refund requests within the first 30 days of purchase if using the Teachable platform to handle payments." let's see if Teachable lives up to this terms of use.

Came here specifically to warn others to stay away. Passwords are impossible to reset, retrieve, or use.I haven’t been able to access my course for 4 months. NO way to reach a human being to unlock things. Super frustrated, and will not ever take another course hosted by Teachable. Have notified course instructors as well.

Teachable doesn't care about their Code of Conduct

I emailed Teachable to notified them of an ongoing issue that I had with an "instructor" hosting a school under their platform.I offered to provide screenshots, policies, and emails regarding the stipulations and issues arising from the course. I notified Teachable that the instructor had broken their code of conduct in multiple ways within the Terms of Use. I requested that I received a refund because the instructor WITHDREW my access after I confronted her via email. I'm appalled that Teachable would allow someone on their platform to violate a consumer's PAID RIGHTS.
Teachable did not take any information into consideration. Not only was fraud committed, but plagiarism too. Which all goes against their code of conduct. I requested my access back or a refund. They immediately disregarded my request stating " Teachable is a SaaS (Software as a Service) provider for school owners to sell/distribute content. We do not own their students, nor do we own the content within their school. As such, we do not have the ability to supersede an owner's decision to add or remove a student from their school."
I reiterated to them how the instructor was out of conduct, and I even quoted from their Terms of Use "According to Teachable's Terms of Use, number 5 of Teachable's General Rights In Operating Its Platform, Teachable reserves the right to modify, suspend, or alter its refund policy, at its sole discretion. Considering that I am the FIFTH person this has happened to just within this course offering, its somewhat baffling to believe that as a platform Teachable would allow someone as such to conduct business within it."
They responded with "We take it very seriously when it turns out that a Teachable school is not aligning their commitment to their students with the same level of commitment and integrity we provide to our school owners. To reassure you, our Risk Team is actively investigating your report and we will take any appropriate actions once we have evaluated the situation.
For privacy and security reasons, we will not be able to disclose any decisions or actions taken by our Risk Team. However, you can be confident that we will examine this closely."
How are you unable to follow up with me on a claim that I requested? The most baffling thing about this is that I pointed out that I offered TWICE to present evidence and they did not give me the opportunity. They immediately disregarded me and once I actually started quoting their Terms of Use... they switched up and started "actively investigating" with no evidence and unable to follow up.

They don't really offer ANY kind of support. I lost a day of work waiting for someone to respond toa support request and then the following day when I STILL had received no answer I switched to Thinkific. And now, five days later? I have only received form letters with links to blog articles that do not resolve the problem. I've initiated a cancellation and a refund request and have had NO response at all. What if something went wrong on the day of my class? I can't risk using this company

Thelady I was in the course actually blocked me from posting into the facebook group that came with the group because I asked questions she obviously didn't want to be seen answering!
