Review from perspective of Client.

Reviewed on 2021-04-05T08:59:56

Review from perspective of Client. Requested 5 star article, which was decent, requested some revisions, now there is a wholly different article written by a new writer which is worst than the first and doesn't take into account any of the revisions I asked for. Don't see a way of contacting previous writer as I don't have a record of their username. Poor experience overall wouldn't use again. Got suckered into it with the 7$ coupon they advertise. Minimum deposit is 25$. 500 word article was $36.

Avoid Textbroker

Reviewed on 2021-03-17T14:12:15

I worked on writing projects via Textbroker. My writing was approved by the clients, they paid Textbroker, and now Textbroker refuses to pay me. They closed my account on a random Friday night with no way of me contacting them until Monday morning. They are now withholding all of the money I made, even though the client has already paid them for the work I have done. They have been extremely unhelpful in remedying the situation so I contacted BBB and am now working with them to get my hard earned money from Textbroker. A warning to all freelance writers, AVOID TEXTBROKER.

I filled in all the basic information…

I filled in all the basic information on the sign-up page. I submiited and then I got this ridiculous response: 'Thank you for your interest in writing for Textbroker! At this time, we have determined that you are ineligible to work for our platform. Our selection algorithm is proprietary, therefore we are unable to discuss this decision with you any further. We wish you the best in your future endeavors!' Absolutely pathetic!

The firm is seeking adversaries where none exist

Reviewed on 2021-02-18T21:32:18

I was a Textbroker author from 2013 to 2020, having been terminated for submitting text the owners determined was spun.I was given no opportunity to explain that I’d simply submitted that copy in error; the particular piece was only partially worked, and I’d sought a number of times to address the incident through the proper channels. No response was forthcoming. If the company chooses to hide behind its trembling knees, that’s its business. I’m satisfied that my integrity outshines the firm’s. Stay away.

Textbroker you are going to be punished…

Reviewed on 2021-02-05T12:05:26

Textbroker you are going to be punished for whatever you do to us. Closed my account less saying I spun content yet I very well know plagiarism is the greatest of crimes in content writing. The account was less than a month old and I thought I'd support my family and studies with it. Anyway, the last thing I'd wish for my enemy is working with you because you're just THIEVES. In no time, textbroker will lose it's prevalence and no clients will sign up for work with you. I'll revisit this review in the near future.

Require Passport Verification with No Automatic Refund- Funds Stuck in Account

Reviewed on 2021-01-20T06:44:27

Ordered a piece of content to try out the service. They required me to upload a picture of my face and my passport, which of course I'm not willing to do for a 30$ article. I asked for a refund and instead of accepting, they make me fill out a form explaining why I want a refund. I'm still waiting to hear back but I'm willing to bet it will take ages for the refund to get approved. This was my first and only interaction with this service.

Textbroker is dishonest and disloyal - Stay Away at all costs

Reviewed on 2020-12-25T10:26:56

I confess that I used to believe Textbroker was a great company to write for regardless of the hoards of negative reviews on the Internet.I now understand where those reviews come from. This is about as dishonest and disloyal of a company that you will find as a writer. I will let you know why and then you decide for yourself. Because of how they treat their writers, purchasers of content should think twice before ever ordering articles from them ever again. Having written for Textbroker for more than four years and having 15,000 articles under my belt, the company suddenly terminated my account this past month. Textbroker gave no reason. When I inquired about the cause, all I was sent was a terse email that the decision was final and that the matter was closed. No explanation was ever given. They retained all of the earnings in my account and will not release them. They will not even talk about the issue. In the past, they have threatened writers with termination for merely turning on a VPN on their computer just to watch Netflix (I wish I could make that up - but it is actually and sadly true). Their emails sent at that point also state that they will terminate the account and retain any of the earnings you currently have. Imagine having a thousand dollars in your account, and then it is terminated just like that with no explanation. To add insult to injury, they retain the money for themselves. I also had a bonus due to me, so that is no longer being paid. I also supposedly earned a reward for typing over a million words. This promise was never honored even though I passed the threshold months ago. Lies, lies, and more lies. Now, I am not posting this review to be vindictive. On the contrary, I am posting this honest summary of my experience to warn other writers and encourage them to stay away. If you are currently writing for Textbroker, be advised that they can and will terminate you for any reason at any time. They will also keep your earnings. You are welcome to leave a comment here, and I will gladly contact you with email proof and screenshots that I have retained to provide the accuracy of this review. Thinking that you have written for them for years will protect you is false thinking as well. They have no loyalty where that is concerned. They treated me nicely for years and then just threw me to the curb, taking the money that I earned along with them. Textbroker has refused to acknowledge any emails other than to say 'the matter is closed' - It is almost like they are robots and not actually human. Again, I would encourage you to stay away from Textbroker. They will steal your money and waste your time. It is dishonest and disloyal companies such as this that cause content writers to lie awake at night wondering if they are going to be the next person who will be victimized by their unscrupulous practices. Again, feel free to contact me personally if you would like to gain even further perspective (with proof) as to why you should avoid Textbroker at all costs. In response to Textbroker's reply to this review - It is my duty to continue to inform readers about the type of company that this is. Textbroker has refused on numerous occasions to provide any evidence that any article I wrote was spun. In fact, I wrote more than 15,000 articles for this company. Not one of them was spun. That is why it was quite shocking when, without warning, my account was closed without warning and without any sort of proof that anything was ever spun. This is because they cannot provide any proof. I honestly have never spun an article in my life - any writer knows that this is actually more difficult in the long run than simply writing a unique article in the first place. So, that alone continues to demonstrate how disloyal and dishonest Textbroker is. In addition, the company still owes me money. They have a bonus system in place. That was not paid to me - in fact, it appears that is probably the reason they closed the account in the first place - so they could avoid paying out a bonus. In addition, I had already reached several milestones that was to allow me to receive various rewards - those were NEVER received. Finally, Textbroker has now accused me of soliciting their clients. Never have I done that - and they have failed to provide any proof. Beyond that, they have sent me a payment request for $500 for soliciting their customers. Is this really the type of company you want to be writing for? Avoid them at all costs. Companies should also think twice before hiring them to write any content for you.
