During it's 75-year existence, UNCF has raised $4.7 billion to provide operating funds for 37 member historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) and administer over 400 scholarships, fellowships, internships, mentoring initiatives, and summer enrichment programs for students at about 900 institutions. Each year UNCF awards scholarships to approximately 60,000 students to attend college and more than 8,000 receive degrees.
