DON'T USE VIASAT THE LIE THERE CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS THEY TELL LIE AFTER LIE
Reviewed on 2021-04-21T20:09:20
Absolutely horrible. Internet kept dying. Spent 2 hrs with tech support and repaired it myself with their instructions. Then it totally died 2 days later, antenna supposedly misaligned, service tech needed, and they don’t even cover it—so they wanted to add an insurance policy for their poor installation. They can’t get anyone out here for weeks. Meanwhile I’m working remotely with a tech job. An absolute mess. Do not ever use this service.

They should not even get one star

They should not even get one star. I will tell you right off. Do not deal with them. They are shady and they will lie to you. I return the equipment as set by them. First they tell me the tracking number I gave them is not a UPS tracking number. I have the slip in front of me. So I know it is. I give it to him three more times and get the same answer. I called UPS they said it is a working number and I can check on it myself. I did and yes it is a working number. So lie number one on just their equipment. I have proff that they received the equipment on the 18th of December. So what do they do. They take $319.05 from my account on the 28th. I called them again and they said that they have not received it. Lie number two. She said it is not showing up in their warehouse. I give her the tracking number. She said they have to call UPS and investigate it. Why investigate. The proff is there. It was their box and return sticker and I had to use UPS. once they find out they are wrong it will take seven to fifteen days to return my stolen money. I am filling up with a case against them through UPS and my bank. UPS can be done right away. By law. I have to wait thirty days with the bank. That protects the company, not the cumsumer. Well I have two weeks more and the bank will get involved. Their biggest lie has always been getting your data speeds. You will never get them. Not even close. Also watch out for their contract. They have it carefully worded to their benefit. I'm telling you do not use them. Their ratings are false. I have no idea why they are able to stay in business.read more

90% of the time, it will time out before a connection is made and when a connection is made it is extremly slow.
Support is virtually unavailable. Now they want to charge me for the rest of my contract for a service product that does not meet what was claimed. I GIVE UP !read more
I worked there months ago and it´s an awful company
Reviewed on 2020-11-16T18:48:01
I worked here a couple months ago, I live in Mexico and we were customer service. It´s an awful experience to work in this company for multiple reasons:
1)The company has dealers that offer their services, and when this dealers scammed people and lied about the service features, prices or capabilities (which was more often than I would like to admit), the company don´t take any responsability about it, and hides behind corporative actions from their duty.
2) They have terrible people working for them, as my reason to leave, my boss was blackmailing the phone agents (me among them) that worked under his supervision, and the floor support was basically a department where the friends of staff were assigned to because they basically did nothing. This was a headache being a phone agent because they leaved all the complications of the customer for you to deal with when the major part of the customers wanted to speak directly to a supervisor.
3) During COVID19 (time where I was employed), as the virus started all the companies related to communication were helping people from United States (where I basically gave customer service on a daily basis), and Viasat was the only one that didn´t, not offering any discounts neither bill adjustments for a service that basically didn´t work. When COVID19 reached 1 month of quarentine in USA people that were paying plans and were under the gap of GB assigned for each month didn´t have any service at all, so no customer was receiving what they were paying for, and no adjustments on the bills were seen.
4) Their plans are very expensive, and it doesn´t matter if you are paying the most expensive one, there were times when those people where not receiveng any service at all when they even had GB available (because all plans have a GB limit).
In conclusion, terrible company, terrible policies and total indifference to their customers. I had to leave because of my boss harassment and no final payment called "liquidación" here in Mexico was received.read more
Horrible company. They lie!

They lie, simple as that. I called originally and talked to a very charming and persuasive man that was basically a car salesman. He lied to me about the service and what I should expect. Well, it was all lies, I was conned into it. I was furious once I set it up. It’s slow beyond reason.read more

THE WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. I was on the phone with them for 80 minutes with having cancelled their service 8 times during the conversation they are still billing us monthly.read more
The Absolute Worst Company I Have Ever Dealt With!
Reviewed on 2020-09-10T03:23:57
Moved to a new area where there was no cable internet available and the house we purchased had a Viasat dish on the roof (stupid!)so we called to see what their deal was. We do basic web surfing, email, and stream Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc. for a couple hours or so each night. The salesman felt we would be fine with their 25mps "unlimited data plan" which was about $100/month and they require a 24 month contract. It worked okay for about two weeks and then it slowed to the point we could barely use the internet and couldn't stream anything at all. When we contacted them about it we were informed that our "unlimited data plan" allowed us to use X amount (can't recall the number) of data each month and when that limit was reached they begin throttling back the speed. Since it was basically unusable for the second half of the month and we were tied in to a long term contract with them, we eventually upgraded to their 50mps, $150/month plan. Same thing began happening consistently 20 days into each month when we reached our limit (100 gigs). Also, I noticed we were being charged $180/month so I went online to see what made up the total and found they don't put any billing detail online. When I called them I was informed I was paying $15/month for their optional equipment warranty plan which I had declined during the sign-up. After 6-7 months of putting up with their horrible service we discover another provider who had glowing reviews and was considerably cheaper with no contract required, so we bought our way our of the Viasat contract (another $255 down the tubes) and made the switch. Now pay $90/month for 25mps unlimited and it works great. I have never had a worse experience than with Viasat. It's a dishonest, deceitful, lying company and I now know many others in our neighborhood who share my opinion.read more
