Much worse than AWFUL!

I have used the WhatsApp service a number of times and each time the service given has been AWFUL.
Todayexperience with Martin is no exception where he responded to me at 16.26 and after 2.5hours I have had just ONE reply from him.
WHY DONT VIRGIN ATLANTIC LISTEN TO CUSTOMER FEEDBACK AND SORT THIS MESS OUT.
I for one would never use Virgin Atlantic ever again if I had not got Flying Club miles to spend.

Booked late 2019 for family flights to Orlando in September 2020 but when they were cancelled weobtained a swift refund and rebooked for June 2021 as there was a great promotion on Upper Class for us and Premium Economy for rest of the family group. Again, flights were cancelled and after contacting a customer agent he said we could have the same deal if we rebooked immediately (other options were a refund or voucher but obviously would then be subject to prevailing costs at the time which would be a lot higher than our original deal) - so on that basis we’re now scheduled to fly in March 2022. Have to say we had no problems with either initial refund or subsequent rebooking and both times Virgin customer agents were really helpful - ?we manage to travel to Orlando in 2022!

Awful experience - cancelled my flight three times - refund was shorted $1200 and then seven days later they charged me another $1100.Hours on the phone nothing resolved. Cannot email them - the emails bounce back. It's very difficult to get a hold of anyone - happy to take your money but not work with you when it comes time to refund.

The travel industry is screaming for help! but when their customer do IT DOESNT MATTER.I booked a flight to Israel last week for me and my children to see my family that I haven't seen for over 2 years because of COVID. Now the country is practically in war, which started a day after my booking, they are not willing to issue a refund.
Their website says: "Ok, bookings to Israel do have additional flexibility in the first 14 days so it’s best to speak to one of the team."
But when I asked for a refund, I have to wait to the last minute until they decide if the flight is going to be cancelled.
Never mind that you have to fill passenger forms, book PCR tests, apply for all sorts in advance, so along as they are covered CUSTOMERS JUST DONT MATTER TO THEM.

I have flown with them during covid on 4 flights (economy) on every one of them I got 5 star service from the booking of the flight to the airport and flight crew definitely worth it.thank you to all of you at virgin atlantic

False advertising during the pandemic

After seeing many adverts for Virgin Airlines during the pandemic promising ‘worry free travel guaranteed’ I booked two flights with Virgin during the pandemic,one direct, and one via an agent. Due to lockdown regulations I was unable to legally leave the U.K. so couldn’t fly with them. Despite numerous emails to Virgin they will not refund me. They’ve given me a travel voucher that is useless as they’ve now hugely increased their prices. Other airlines that I’d booked with including Gulf Air, Qatar, Ukrainian Airlines, and Philippine Airlines all gave me a full refund with no issues at all. Only Virgin have not issued refunds! Disgraceful treatment of their customers! Their adverts are designed to take your money, then they only give credit vouchers so they still have your money. Disgusting tactics!

I’ve been with Virgin customer since 2003, while I was on hold they played a track with the chorus “Weused to be giants” so very apt for this company for many years in my eyes they used to be Giants with very good product and very good customer service but alas this has come to an end with Openreach supplying more and more areas with 1Gig fast FTTP, the cutting edge that Virgin had has become blunt and now with customer services who are poorly trained and just treading water from one break to the next has now ruined the Virgin Name. RIP Virgin Media’s good name and reputation. So after three months of pure purgatory I have decided to leave and go to sky and Openreach.
