What does Wahoo Fitness do?

Wahoo was created with a simple purpose: to build a better athlete in all of us. Our training platform seamlessly integrates wearable devices, connected hardware, and science-based training plans to help everyday and world-class endurance athletes reach their fitness goals. Our people fuel our growth, through their passion for serving the endurance athlete that borders on obsession. We need creative self-starters who thrive in a casual, free-flowing environment. Folks from around the world and across demographic lines, who have a variety of outside interests and like to compete, celebrate, and have fun. You don't have to be an Olympic athlete or rocket scientist to work at Wahoo, but you should do what you love and love what you do. We embrace the uniqueness inherent in every Wahooligan and aren't afraid to approach a problem from a different angle either… and possibly break something in the process. We're not a big company, so we need people who can figure things out on their own, know when to ask for help, and drive things forward quickly. An ownership mindset is a must. We think excuses kinda suck - so don't try to blame our dog, Birdie, when your homework isn't done. From how we deal with a customer to how we treat one another, our overriding imperative is that we always do what's right and act with fairness and integrity. We're a community, and we have each other's backs. We band together to work hard, have fun, and take care of each other along the way. We are here to build friendships, not networks. For the Wahooligan, culture is critical. If ours gets you revved up, we want to meet you.

Just an awful experience with Wahoo.

Reviewed on 2021-05-13T15:59:45

Placed an order for a Kickr bike but had to cancel due to a change in circumstances.Wahoo confirmed the order had been cancelled but shipped the item to me anyway. I instructed the courier not to deliver it to me. Two weeks later and they are finally refunding me my £3000 but only after I pay a £200 restocking fee....on a cancelled order. Apparently the cancellation fee is incurred regardless of whether an item ships or not. Was told by the customer service agent that they would send me some stuff to compensate but after the frankly abysmal service over the last few weeks I don't want anything to do with a Wahoo product ever again. Will be replacing my 2017 Kickr (which I can't get serviced) with something from a different company.

Seemless integration between products

Reviewed on 2021-05-11T09:12:08

Over the years I have gone from a Magellan GPS 315, to Polar, to Garmin in the search for seamless connectively between routing and fitness monitoring. The journey ended when I discovered Wahoo, the Wahoo Tickr, Tickr Fit and Elemnt Roam all integrate perfectly and the functionality of all the devices is second to none. And when a workout is done it downloads automatically to Strava without having to touch a button. In the years since I switched to Wahoo I have had one issue with a Tickr Fit and Harriet at the Customer Support was amazingly helpful for resolving it.

KICKR Bike Failed on Error 17

Reviewed on 2021-05-04T23:34:35

I bought a Kickr Bike after a long search to locate one in Canada. I had to pay for shipping from a distant shop to my house - because I could not source a unit locally.I set the unit up in my house and it failed after 10 minutes of operation (Error17). I contacted Wahoo by opening a ticket, and as soon as they realized I was Canadian, they referred me to their Canadian Distributor "Live to Play Sports" and waited 9 days for them to contact me. They asked that I ship the defective bike back to them and then they would ship me a replacement unit to my local shop (who I was not able to buy the original bike from). I delivered the bike to Live to Play Sports and they did ship me a new bike - with the entire ordeal taking ~4 weeks to resolve. So after paying $5000 CDN for the bike I was unable to use it for 4 key weeks in February when I need it the most.

Wahoo TickrX Heart Rate Monitor (X for expletive?)

Reviewed on 2021-05-03T13:54:53

Having seen a decent review on YouTube I bought a TickrX heart rate monitor and what a mistake it turned out to be.Should have stuck to my original brand. It worked for around 8 hours before the fun and games began. The battery was first to go throwing the battery life claim into serious doubt. Next it started to fail to turn on. No lights lit up. And so began a run of little reliability. It was a case of fingers crossed each time. Either admit to defeat and head out without it to avoid losing time or trust to luck. No data to guide me on my rides and runs and disappointingly no data downloaded at all for a flat out PB ride. More recently it showed a steady 120bpm before I’d even got on the bike (not a true reflection of my resting heart rate) and conversely 56bpm towards the end of a warm up. A flat line of 122bpm was the final straw today. Date from a 40 minutes HIIT with not a sign of the recoveries in between brutal max efforts. I’ve just this moment purchased an updated model of my previous HR and will be expecting a full refund as I cannot have an unreliable training aid continue to mess up my training plans. That is if they ever reply to my complaint. Just glad that I didn’t make the very expensive purchase I had been planning to make from Wahoo before discovering the shoddiness of this item.

I ordered through Wahoo Fitness website…

Reviewed on 2021-04-14T17:40:51

I ordered through Wahoo Fitness website nearly a week ago, yet support guy John G at Wahoo for somereason calls me Henry which isn't my name claims no order has been found and can't find my email address which was used for the order, so I've sent them proof of purchase via Paypal, so far I've had no reply but they were quick to take my money. I wish I'd never ordered through Wahoo.....BE WARNED! I'll update on any progress Update...Wahoo apologised for the delay and refunded my money in return they gave me a free set of Cadence and Speed sensors for the inconvenience caused, so I ordered a refurbished Kickr Core at a cheaper price, the delivery was very quick, it was like new and works perfectly and I'm very please with my purchase

Unreliable products backed by appalling customer service

Reviewed on 2021-04-12T09:17:33

I've had two wahoo Elemnt/Bolt units break in the last year. Two weeks after my last one broke, have I had a warranty replacement yet? Have I heck. Wahoo are too stingy to use a proper courier and won't accept any risk of leaving the unit at my door, so it never gets delivered - so I'm still without a replacement unit. If you want a reliable bike computer, or at least one that gets replaced when it frequently breaks, don't get Wahoo!
