IF I could give less stars I would

IF I could give less stars I would..Last July, we were visiting Disney World when a Westgate representative approached us and offered us a $100 gift card if we attended a sales presentation. We tried to decline many times, but the representative was very pushy, and our children were restless, so we agreed. We did find it odd that they forced us to put down a cash deposit to go on a tour of their resort. Upon arrival, we were assured that this would only take 90 minutes and offered to take our children into another room “to play”. This made us extremely uncomfortable, and we informed the staff that we would only stay if our children could stay with us. In hindsight, we should have just walked out of their office at that point. Instead, we were subjected to over six hours of intense sales pressure. We kept trying to tell the staff that we were not interested, but they would not listen! We finally agreed to the smallest package we could just so we could leave and enjoy our vacation. Since that day, we have been able to use this once, which included an “owners update meeting”. This was just a guise for ANOTHER extremely long, high pressure sales situation. We were told that this would allow us to use this purchase as an investment property that could be rent out. This has NEVER been true! This company is awful!

Yeah, if you don’t sound like someone they can sell something to they’ll hang up on you and not give a F*** about you. Can’t even book a regular room without getting a timeshare. The customer service guy Dave hung up on me trying to book a room because I denied getting their time share “promtion”. Screw you. Hope someone S*** in your waterpark.

Do not do business w/ Westgate.

Westgate has been a headache since I agreed to attend a sales presentation in exchange for a $100 gift card while on vacation in Las Vegas.I declined every offer that came my way & did not want to see the model units. At a point, the manager got involved & that is also when the lies started. I am not new to timeshares as my family owns one separately, so I had knowledge of how they work. They said the fees stopped at mortgage pay off, that was a lie. They also failed to tell me about the interest, or that I had a 10-day cancelation legal period. A lot of important documentations were never presented to me & considering they had extended this meeting to 6 hours; I was just glad to be out of there. I walked away thinking I had made a good financial investment & nothing is further from the truth. It only goes to show all the lies they must use to sell timeshares. Do not do business with Westgate!

I am only giving this a star review as…

I am only giving this a star review as I have to. First of all we were there for over the 90 minutes.Almost tripled that. Fed a line of BS. The food was disgusting. After nearly 4 hours of complete lies and BS we told our rep Carson (las Vegas) it wasn’t for us. He said he needed a manager to get us out. So he went abs got Jason, who was a complete Jack a$$. Challenged my brother in law verbally. Yelled at me to sit down. Then continued to slam papers and yell at us. Extremely unprofessional and a HORRIBLE scam!!! LAS VEGAS PEOPLE BE WARE!!!!

Stay away!!

In 2018, Westgate contacted us and offered us a discounted vacation if we were to attend a 90-minute sales presentation during our trip.We were told that this had to occur within the first 2 days our trip, which seemed odd to us at the time. Now we know that this was purely so that they can avoid people having the time to read the paperwork within the cancellation period! This presentation lasted far longer than the promised 90-minutes. Our children were understandably getting very restless after the 90-minutes were over and the staff told us that they would send them over to some unknown play center. We found this suggestion incredibly rude and concerning as we do not leave our children alone with strangers. Finally, we agreed to this purchase because we believed that this was a tax benefit and a real estate investment that we could pass down to our children. This could not be more untrue! All we would be passing down to them would be debt and headaches! We have tried to call Westgate and get assistance as we are going through a divorce and can no longer afford this, but they are the most unhelpful people we have ever come across! Do not trust them!

When Westgate first contacted us and…

Reviewed on 2021-04-20T02:09:35

When Westgate first contacted us and offered a free trip to Las Vegas, we thought it was a great idea.Upon arrival at their sales presentation, we had agreed that we would never purchase a timeshare, yet after hours of unrelenting high-pressure sales, we felt that we had no choice but to make a purchase. The staff told us that we were purchasing an investment property, not a bunch of points that are completely unusable! Every single time we have attempted to use this, there are additional fees that we are responsible for, yet they continue to charge us over $170 a month! For what? The opportunity to pay more fees? This is absurd! We have tried to contact Westgate and talk to them about releasing us from this contract but all they do is ignore us and charge us more money.
