Good selection, sky high prices

The prepared food section (e.g., plates with meat + 2 sides) is quality (taste, health-wise)with a strong selection, but the prices are usuriously high now. Great food, terrible value - I almost never do this anymore a I can't rationalize these prices, even as a working professional in management.

They charge more then the 10%sales tax on non food items. Charged me 20 cents more.
Plus taxed on reg price not the sales price.
Will not go there again.They know a lot of people won't check and calculate their tax, especially the well off people.

If I could give negative stars I would. Worst employees EVER. Every time I shop at Whole Foods,specifically Willowbrook IL, it is guaranteed there will be an issue. The employees are incredibly rude, aggressive, and disrespectful. When reaching for the packaged salmon from the gentlemen at the counter, I am yelled at like a child. The COVID protocols have only increased their anger and feel obligated to yell and watch your every move. I’ve been laughed at by the employees after I responded back in a harsh manner due to being treated with absolute zero respect. I’ve had it with Whole Foods, after numerous efforts to try to keep shopping, I refuse to come back. Whole Foods, you have a great product selection, however, a lot of your employees are deplorable.

My name is Tammy I have been shopping at Whole Foods for many many years. I must say I’m extremely sadand disappointed in the how the company does not live up to its name which I feel it does not have the right to use. There is not one grape ,orange grapefruit etc out of many to choose from that has a seed in it. Nothing is whole without a seed in it. It’s an insult to me as a consumer and the company bares a name it doesn’t live by. It say to me the fruit did not get produced the way God intended therefore I don’t want it in my body.

I went into a whole food store yesterday to buy a nice meal for my girlfriend who cooks for me almost every day,I just wanted to show her my appreciation. I was in a very good mood at the thought of doing something that would make her happy. I went into the Whole Food store and began shopping.
I saw a young man behind the counter in the meat department, I thought a nice sirloin would be good, so I went over and picked out the steak that I wanted, when I told him what I wanted, he looked at me like I just climbed out of a sewer and he was sarcastic with me.
I speak with a speech impediment and sometimes it's a little difficult to understand me. I saw and heard the young man, I just ignored it and went over to another display which had hot food. I started to scoop some of the vegetables and almost as if from out of nowhere another man appeared demanding that I wear gloves, no problem, I get that, but the way he said it, really rubbed me the wrong way. again I just ignored him.
I went around to the other side of the display and picked up a pair of latex gloves and started to put them on. The man followed me to where they had put plastic gloves and demanded that I wear these plastic gloves. I hope that whoever reads this post will take the time to watch this video. People deal with things in their own way but more and more, I see this kind of thing. this is not a Wholefood store but trust me it won't be long before it is if you don't train your employees better.
It wasn't what he said, it's how he said it. Ok so at this point I was getting angry, I just played along because I didn't want to make a sean.

I fully understand his concern, I own a small company that sells PPE, I get that but he was very rude. where on earth do your employees learn their customer service skills, gangland USA? Those guys almost stirred some very DARK thoughts in me, thoughts I just don't like to have. This was an awful experience, NOBODY, absolutely NOBODY talks to me that way, especially when I'm there to support YOUR business. I hope that someday, someone who works in wholefoods will actually read this and give a darn about changing that systemic ignorance around. You were great once, what on earth happened?
