A HEADACHE to set up and use, I absolutely regret that I purchased it. Almost everything they promised before making the purchase now apparently can't be done. We call,they say: eghhh, me don't think so, but, hey, I'll send it to our team, you wait (the answer will be no, though)... I have a membership-based sports club, and I wanted to be able to set up automatic payments, create class rosters, have an inventory, get reports, etc. However, two years after I signed up, I haven't been able to finish setting this up. I paid over 5K during this time, for what was supposed to be "easy set up" and get great help from the Zen Planner team. The help is there, except is not great; I am now dedicating over three hours daily, instead of focusing on my business, to set it up, only because I paid for the past two years, and I want to see what it can do. Also, very important: no integrations with social media!

Really quick response times. Much more personal than MindBody support. I feel heard and appreciated whenever I reach out.Also, the software is way easier to use for both my clients and staff! I have recommended Zen Planner to all of my friends.

Going, going, .........

I’ve been with Zen Planner for quite a number of years running a martial arts gym and at first i felt i was getting enough value for the money i was paying.But in the last 1-2 years, pricing has gone up drastically (i’m paying hundreds of dollars per month), and service has gone down horrifically. Outages are almost on a weekly (daily the last few days) basis now. There’s still a lot of bugs with the software and some things just don’t work well. The members app still feels like a beta test app since day one. I thought it would have moved forward from day one, but it really hasn’t moved much at all - but all for more money. The only thing stopping me from cancelling my account at the moment is finding another solution. So i’m searching... and inevitably, it’ll be going, going, gone.

Why do gyms still use this?

This is just not an acceptable software product by modern standards. Given it can only be accessed through a mobile app for members,ZenPlanner's inability to support MAJOR OS version releases from is laughable. This is our only way to use your service, and ZenPlanner's lack of foresight, QA testing, etc is unacceptable.

We can no longer recommend Zen Planner

We began using the Zen Planner scheduling software in 2015 and raved about the stellar customer service.Based on this positive experience I switched from managing my own Word Press website for our company to paying Zen Planner to host and manage it. We pay several hundred dollars per month for this service but it saves me time so I can work on my business and the service was always excellent until this year. Since 2020 customer service and response times have not been great. We still have no complaints regarding the scheduling software but my recent request to update our rates and programs on the website for the start of fall have produced no results. The web design team told me I need to contact the software team first though it wasn't clear why they would not do it on my behalf. When I contacted the software team they emailed me links to pages on how to program my Word Press site widgets myself. Not sure why I'm paying hundreds of dollars to them I requested to schedule a customer service call to see if this was merely a misunderstanding that could be easily cleared up. Customer service told me that due to high call volumes this is not an option. Having enjoyed 4 great years of service I'm very disappointed with this outcome and no longer recommend Zen Planner. We'll be looking for other website solutions.

Support has turned to the worst support you can imagine since 2020

We are customer of ZenPlaner in the last 10 years in Switzerland Reebok Crossfit Zürich Hosue of Athletes.In the past 3 months the online payment trough the app is not working anymore. We have opened several tickets and always received the same answer. See below. “We do not have a specific ETA for when this fix will go out yet. It is an issue isolated to specific customers using Paysafe. I will let you know via case 00182520 as soon as we have an update” Furthermore, this explanation is sent repeatedly. Who are you trying to fool? Meanwhile the full payment is deducted monthly whit-out comment. We are not requesting a new function! Just the restore of a crucial business relevant payment process. ZenPlaner Support is unable to give us any information about the status. We keep receiving the same answer. We where happy with the Product and the support till 2020. I don’t know what happened, but the way support is handled is unacceptable. I would strongly recommend to not choose this software anymore unless there are major changes in the way of communication and support from this company.

I used Zen Planner with another company before starting my own business. The gym management software is great.I was excited to get on board when making the decision to open my own gym. Their sales staff oversells their web development and marketing services, which I can tell you now are a waste of money. It is overpriced and quite the scam. I could have paid a one time fee of $1000 to have a website just as good designed, the updates you can easily do yourself, and the marketing you can also easily do yourself. They will do everything to avoid adverts on any platform outside of Facebook. When I was sold this service I was assured Instagram ads wouldn't be an issue. The marketing specialist spent 10 minutes trying to explain why they'd rather do Facebook. He should have just told me he doesn't know how. Additionally, I was told they would prefer to do only one additional edit to the website before launching, as customers in the past have had many alterations which Zen Planner thought was a waste of time. Never mind they are being paid to design your website the way you want. I assume this is why in their contract they have a clause which states every oral or written agreement up until now is superseded by the contract. They tell you one thing, sell you another, and then you're stuck. The kiosk has a bug that will not allow a customer to proceed past the photo, when signing up. So you have to take every single person back into your office and add them manually, which is time consuming and disrupts your ability to do business. I emailed their staff only to get a response 4 days later saying my concern had been forwarded. Days go by, the problem persisted. I called and was told by the end of that week it would be fixed. Here we are weeks later and the problem has not been fixed. I sent a follow up email 10 days ago with no response still! I am still dragging every person that comes through the doors into my office. I originally requested to simply downgrade my service due to covid 19 financial uncertainty sometime mid may. I get no response at all. I decide to just cancel my service all together since I'm being charged for a service I can't use, a service that is different from what I was sold, and a service that they themselves clearly cannot provide, since their is virtually no communication on their end. Now here I am at the end of June, crossing into yet another billing cycle, which I tried to minimize, and eventually eliminate. I'm sure Zen Planner will continue to delay the cancellation of my service so they can bill me further, which seems to be a theme if you read other reviews. Zen Planner takes every opportunity to complain about how they have been impacted by Covid, yet give zero F's about your situation. You'd think that due to the devastating impact of this pandemic on the fitness industry they'd be willing to work with you or even communicate, but you'd be wrong. Zen Planner has been nothing but an expensive headache. Do not make the same mistake I did. And Zen Planner, if you are reading this, feel free to answer any number of communications I've sent that have yet to receive a response.

Since this company was bought there customer service has gone down to the point where it might as well be non-existent.I've tried for two months to get a response to canceling my account after a gym closure. You wait weeks for a response to an email and then get no help anyway. Rates have gone up. I've continued paying even though my gym has been closed for 2 months because no one will bother to answer an email or call you back. Horrible, horrible customer service and they could care less about your business.
