Great company with quality service and…

Great company with quality service and people that care about the job they do. I highly recommend people go to Abode for their accommodation needs.

If I could give this company a zero

If I could give this company a zero, I would. They operate via illegal and and usurious practices to nickel and dime you. We signed up for a REFUNDABLE deposit, paying extra for so. When we asked to cancel the reservation and for our money back, well over 30-60 days before the stay we were told that we would forfeit the deposit. Their terms are misleading. On top of that, we arrived and the place was not ready. The cleaning team was still there, the unit was infested with fruit flies and their appliances are malfunctioning. They are attempting to charge me $400 for a wine fridge that we did NOT damage. It cracked because it was a piece of crap and due to the excessive heat in the unit. I would NEVER rent with this company again. In my opinion they are some money grabbing gentrifiers who purchase and rent properties in underserved communities and will not allow locals to rent from them. In my opinion they are racist and only out for self. I am disputing the return of my deposit (which I was only made aware of the day before check in). I also plan to go to the Better Business Bureau on them due to their shady practices.

Do not book through Abode

Do not book through Abode. I booked, confirmed and paid for accomodation in January, filling in ALL relevant information. Two days b4 I arrived they threatened to cancel my booking and treat it as a no-show, unless I openend myself up to a scam by sharing sensitive (and uncessary) information by email to an unknown 3rd party. They also asked for impossible information. You have been warned.

I booked my stay based on the glowing…

I booked my stay based on the glowing description and photos provided, but I was extremely disappointed to find that the accommodation and location were nothing like what was advertised. To make matters worse, customer service was completely unhelpful and uninterested in addressing my concerns. I reached out multiple times, only to be met with indifference and excuses. It was clear that they had no intention of resolving my issues or ensuring a pleasant stay. I highly recommend avoiding this place. Save yourself the frustration and disappointment.

Never book with Abode and Airbnb!

In late March we booked a stay with Abode (Memphis) via Airbnb for what should have been a great retirement trip for my father. Abode (Memphis) completely ruined it for us with their predatory cancellation policy to the point that they tried extorting 500 USD from us to change the dates of our reservation. Airbnb was equally complicit in this demand. They even presented it to us as their final solution to our issues. Extremely disappointing. For people who travel a lot, we have never encountered such unprofessional and predatory online booking service. Stay away from Abode and from Airbnb!

Company will not issue a refund amid…

Company will not issue a refund amid coronavirus pandemic. response to request for cancellation and refund was "Our business is being effected too". So this gives them the right to take people's money? Make no mistake, this company has provided ZERO service other than taking my money. The booking wasnt until May 15th!!! Update: response from company was "we relaxed our cancellation policy bc of coronavirus and only took 50% of your money". Imagine what this company would do if we WERENT in the middle of a crisis! Update: company refunded all but $90. Still highway robbery as far as I'm concerned but much less than I was initially set to lose. I dont advise doing business with this company. Be careful of predatory cancellation policies on airbnb.
