Concerns about the maltreatment of young people

I personally know a good number of brilliant students that were looking forward to make a great sacrifice,that of working and study with ACCA Global to develop and reach their full potential. However this has turned into a nightmare to these young people, as unlike their past academic experiences, to their dismay they keep failing and failing. May I please ask, why does a high percentage of students keep failing ACCA Global's exams and the company has a very low pass rate? Do they have poor teaching skills? defective teaching plan, unrealistic expectations? impractical exam paper markings? greed to make money from students? Where are the Professional Standards Commitees or the International Board of Certification? And why doesn't Human Rights Organizations step in? given that students are shattered, emotionally, psychologically, physically and financially. Can anyone please give me an answer to the questions that are troubling me for the sake of our young generation?

ACCA Lacks Transparency!

ACCA is very outdated british establishment that lacks modernization and lacks great level of transparency!The institution promotes itself as a very hard qualification to pass, however, reality is that it is not hard to pass the papers, it is only hard because of the fact that ACCA lacks objectivity, fairness and transparency in its marking system!
You may study as hard as you can and feel you are fully prepared for the exam, yet you may fail it again and again. You may want to learn why you failed, but ACCA will never give you that luxury to legitimately understand why you failed a paper!
This is what happens when you want to know why you failed. You can only ask for an administrative review, this will cost you GPB 56 and you will receive a standard response from ACCA "We reviewed your markings and it has been correctly awarded" It will also tell you Question 1,2,3... (pass or fail) and further they will tell you administrative review is not a remarking exercise. So basically what they will do for GBP 56 pounds is to tell you they did a sum of all marks issued by marker and it does some to X number.
Still not convinced if you got a satisfactory answer? You have option to appeal, that would cost you another GBP 50 and the appeal board will also make sure your markings sum up is correct, so you will get another email that marking has been correctly applied, but they will never ever tell you how much marks you received or even better why you failed!
In summary, if you ever want to understand how you preformed or why you failed an ACCA exam, be prepared to pay expensive fees and yet get no useful response after wasting hundreds of pounds.
In the ACCA exam docket, you will read that exam answers remain property of ACCA. That disclaimer is a systematic approach to cover its base and allow them to be not transparent with students. The marking of exams are not systematic, many many exam answers are marked at very short amount of time and there is no way ever to get ACCA to truly recheck and perform due diligence on exam markings, specially in cases where human error by marker is a possibility that will impact the marginal markings btw pass and fail (49). Yet they will get your money if you try to make them recheck their work and in return they give you no valuable and useful response! The least they can do for those students who ask for administrative review is to say more than question X pass or fail, but also provide a feedback as to why they failed each question! Sounds like a fair expectation after paying them GPB 56!
However, they will not do that, because that will challenge the fairness in marking system they have and they have well protected them selve by getting you to sign the docket that also says exam answers will remain property of ACCA and you will never ever get to understand how they marked it! Yet, play the reputation that this qualification is very hard with pass rate of 30%. Remember ACCA is hard to pass, because the institution lacks transparency and the management lacks confidence of accuracy and objectivity behind their marking system! Otherwise, they would be open and will not mind disclosing how they have marked students exam, at least for those students who willing to pay them for this service. Fact is they will be challenged if they disclose their marking allocations because it is not systematic, and it very subjective based on opinion of the marker.
If ACCA challenges my views above, they could elaborate why are they not able to address the following for students who paid for administrative review and subsequently for Examination Appeal Committee :
1. Disclose markings for each question
2. Provide feedback as to why a student failed
What I know is because they will be challenged of appropriateness and accuracy of their marking allocations. The more times you sit for an exam, the more revenue for ACCA, so why would be do anything that will hinder the revenue generation source!
Come on ACCA, we are in 2021. Adapt some transparency in your work ethics! We are a hard qualification to achieve will not play for long, you can claim that if you are also able to explain why it is hard to pass and why students fail (Examiner articles is not enough I am afraid). For the fees that you ask for, there should be alot more you should provide as a service not merely saying you one passed or failed, but saying why one failed. It should should not be hard task if it is factual right? Secondly it should also be your motive to help students improve, so tell them why they failed, this can not be done for every student, but you can do this for those who paid over 130 GBP to your different oversight bodies (Administrative Reviews and Examination Appeal Board)!!!
ACCA you lack transparency!!!! and I know that you know it! but it got to be out there so new students are aware of this reputation

So Ive called the customer service number the other day and they finally picked up my after 40mins.
Im literally on the hold to them right now and its been 55mins.And im just thinking of hanging up at this point.
They are such a waste of time. Whenever i emailed them they never address my questions properly.
However it better chance to reach them through email then telephone :/
Absolutely awful service most definitely not worth paying that yearly subscription if i cant even reach them when I need to.

Can someone for goodness sake answer the phones. They treat their students like animals.I need some assistance regarding upcoming exam but none there. Why do they do this. We all have enough stress these days and people like this absolutely do not help. Why? When some people do their upmost to help. NOT ACCA.

They will milk you for your money

This not a not for profit organization. It rather reminds me a modern day mafia. They will milk you for money in all possible fair and unfair ways.
If you say you are sick,so could not attend an exam and send them a doctor's note, they tell you they need to know your exact illness or wont reimburse. Why? Because they want your money.
Please have a very close look at all the fees that accumulate - registration, annual membership, exam fees, etc. I stopped paying annual membership fees for about a year because I did not take exams and did not practice accounting, so they do not let me log in to their website anymore and even look at my grades. Now I need to pay them re-registration fee as well as all the annual fees missed.
Annual membership is absolutely useless, nothing but designation letters next to your name, but very expensive.
Also, note that passing all the exams does not entitle you to be become ACCA accredited, you need to have a very specific accounting experience signed off by very specific accredited people, it is a lot harder than you may think. In many cases, just impossible if you dont work in accounting directly.
