No help with disputes

Reviewed on 2021-04-29T22:29:03

I was scammed by a company named Vendo for another company, Clickaine for $520.00 I put in a dispute a month ago.Acorns did nothing for me. I was expected to email THEM copies of MY research with the two frauding companies. I sent them copies but was told they were not legible and had to resend, I did that TWO more times. They didn’t keep me informed of progress: constant calls from me was the only way to find out status of it all. Finally, I have been told I will find out in 90 days IF THEY WILL REFUND ME. My account is frozen. I have asked to withdraw my money in the Spend account and they pull it out so I don’t see it in there but it isn’t in the account I transferred it to. WHERE IS MY MONEY? I am FED UP AND CRAZY WITH ANGER. I should not have to conduct the investigation myself and then give THEM my findings. I was defrauded and now Acorns is treating me like I’m the criminal. DO NOT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THEM. And this has been after me being a customer for years.

Acorns is a ripoff

Reviewed on 2021-02-21T21:13:53

Acorns is a ripoff. Buyer beware. Never seen such little growth on an investment in an emerging market. Not sure if it is because of the ridiculous expense ratio or the fact that they invest most of your money in international companies, but it was one of the worst investment decisions I have ever personally made. Not only that, but it is very difficult to see where they are investing your money and how much it is actually costing you.

Stay away!!!!!

Reviewed on 2021-01-26T20:41:37

Stay away!!!!!! If I could award ZERO stars for this unethical scam company I would.Grow Your Anger should be their motto. Everything is fine as long as you are letting them take your money as you « round up » but the moment you wish to stop, they make it next to impossible for you to end your business relationship. Their customer service is non-existent and you get led around and around in circles. They hope you will be too frustrated and exhausted to continue your efforts. I had to threaten pursuing recourse through FINRA.ORG and after MONTHS, finally managed to extricate myself from this unethical company. Now they sent me an email stating my 1099-R tax form is ready but all log-in attempts to retrieve this document lead to a membership plan page. Aww hell naw! I don’t expect a response from their ridiculous customer service reps and I’ve had better interactions with scammers from call centers in Delhi. I’ll simply let thé IRS know they were unwilling to provide me with my tax document. Lol!

Acorns - Grow your headache.

Reviewed on 2020-12-06T00:54:59

Acorns - Grow your headache. So I have been missing my debit card since August (its now the first week in december.)I have emailed the customer service corps over and over askign for my debit card. It took emailing the CEO to get a replacement, which I still have not received. First, they wanted to confirm the shipping address every time I contacted them (my response would always be "the address on file is my shipping address" - the website has your shipping address listed under settings so that every time you go to download your statements its there.) So, the one time I actually preempted them with the address in the request for a new card, and then they responded that 1. they deactivated my lost card and 2. they needed me to deposit $5 to get the new card sent. So that's so petty, considering I've been emailing since September for a new card AND I specifically stated in my email that "my entire paycheck gets direct deposited into my acorns spend account, so I need the debit card by Friday"....... she should have done her due dilligence and opened my account history and seen that I get a direct deposit into my account every 15 days--and then floated the Debit Memo. When I still ddn't have the card a week later and now needed to fill a prescription at the pharmacy, I was SO MAD. Anyway, everything else about the service is great - you can invest your "spare change" and get free little investments from your favorite brands. The checking account has no fees, as far as I can tell, and even reimburses some fees from non-participating ATMs. They just need to invest in CSRs that can think on their feet and aren't completely reliant on a script on a screen. ACORNS: Develop a workaround for your clients that have their entire pay deposited in your account and have lost their debit card - I have NO F'N access to my cash and it's just completely INCONSIDERATE that you don't have a solution for me. I bank with you in good faith that you will have my back, so to speak. Well, my faith in you is severely diminished now. Fix my shizz, ACORNS! I will say though, the CEO does look pretty cute in his picture.

After a year one of my close friends invested in the excellent website (Arbitrage.is) and got great results. He recommended it to me, and I tried it too. What an amazing experience man.
