Misleading information on order process. Caution when buying from them!

When ordering train tickets on DB Website it is expected to be straight forward: select dates and stations, see the list of available tickets, choose and pay. I am a long-term customer and the process has always been like that.
It happens that in my last order, a FLX product was among the available tickets. No warning appeared telling me that this ticket was not provided by DB and that I should go to a third-party website to purchase it separately. I trusted what I saw on DB website and always bought the tickets offered there because I used to believe it is a reliable company. I could never expect that they would offer me tickets that they could not sell.
After the payment, I printed out my confirmation and there is a table of reservations (Reservierung Rückfahrt), where it indicates Düsseldorf as origin and Berlin as destination and two products: FLX 134 and ICE 801. Again, there is no alert that the FLX ticket was not booked. This is why I believed my purchase was completed.
Only in the day of my return I found out that the mentioned FLX train was not listed on the station panels. When asking for help I was even told that FLX trains are not even running until June. Even though it appeared to me on the DB website among the available options.
When complaining on the DB Travel Center at Düsseldorf Hbf, I was told that I would lose my return ticket. They gave me only the option to buy new tickets from Düsseldorf to Berlin (ICE 849) by €185,50 (already including the BahnCard25 discount), which ended up being almost 3 times more expensive than what I've paid on the DB website for the entire trip.
I feel completely misled regarding the reservation process in the DB website and I sent them a letter complaining about all. And I got a non-sense and almost generic answer saying that I must complain to Flixtrain.read more

No transparent offers. Automatically make you pay for a complete year if you don’t cancel 6 weeks in advance for a 3 months offer. Not friendly on the phone (if you are patient to wait 20min), constant delays and do not even try to improve service. Way too much even for Deutsche Bahn

I think that on today’s train dusseldorf- berlin (15:09 Sunday) I have reached the highest level of rudeness and unbelievably BAD customer service EVER.I mean that was way too much even for Deustche Bahn. A lady asked me (very pissed off) a ticket to go to the toilet (!!). I said i was in the train since a couple of hours and just had to pee. No! Kein excuse. Ticket please. I nearly almost peed there on the floor, and thinking that i was just so close.. one meter away from the door! ?? Then i though i seat on the restaurant table. The other lady ( to whom I already bought food one hr before), came out of the kitchen screaming on me that I can’t seat there without drinking or eating something. And I can only stay max 40 minutes, not 45 not 50, 40!(p.s. almost empty restaurant coach cause of Corona..). I just literally had no time to put my luggage and jacket to chose something to drink ? After the lovely exchange of words, I then seat, and again there she is. Coming back with the grace and the elegance seems a must to have to work here, and again shouting at me you can’t seat here. I just say give me time to order. Then she shouts we can’t take the order on the table you have to come (those 2 meters in front ?) and order on the counter. Because it is well know that it is corona sensitive to spend 2 seconds to order on the table, but you can spend 5 minutes to shout on people on the table. That’s totally fine. A bit of a relaxation therapy. Cause you know, we are all stressed these days. ?
Just no words! Even on a train ride I have never experienced something like that so far! ?read more

I wanted to travel along with db but then the ticket machine couldn’t take my money so I went into the train because it only was coming every hour. Then I searched for a conductor to buy a ticket. But he was so unfriendly and kicked me out of the train instead of letting me pay for a ticket. Then I was at the station at Potsdamer Platz but then the ticket machine also did not take my money so changed the money by a shop but even then it apparently did not work. After 20 mins I had a ticket and needed to wait super long. I am 16 yes old and I don’t habe an electronic Credid Card to pay on my phone for a ticket. It’s a real problem and I hate travelling with the DB. It’s not a plane where you need to be one hour before!read more
