Full of lies!
This website is full of lies as usual. Hunters/shooters are only a bunch of psychopaths murderers thirsty for blood! In 2024 during Climate Emergency and Pandemics as human race is failing blantly to live peacefully with other Beings,it is a shame to see stuff like this still happening! When there is already a huge decline of wild Animals in the UK due to uneccessary Badgers culling,pheasant,birds,lies with trail hunting for foxes... Please Carry on supporting the hunt saboteurs. You wouldn't like an intruder to go in your home so why does anyone can find this acceptable!? Animals home should be protected and respected!
Tried ten times to change my address
Tried ten times to change my address. It’s actually impossible to get anyone from BASC! Cancelled my direct debit and within a few days got a letter to my old address. All they care about is taking your money.
They are powerless if you're ever…
They are powerless if you're ever unfortunate enough to need them for help against unfair and unreasonable treatment by the police. I don't know what the point is in them existing. They have done nothing to stop and roll back the unrelenting onslaught of the state against legitimate firearms owners.
I don't want to be on hold indefinitely for insurance issues.
I had heard rumours that contacting the insurance broker (Marsh) was difficult. It is! I tried using the provided number. You just remain on hold.They are a massive international insurance organisation which makes me wonder if they have time for the little guy. Sorry, I want a UK insurance service that answers the phone.

Been a full member for over 3 years when you need them you can't get hold of them massive amount of members and no one on the phones had no option to end my membership and give up shooting that I put many years and a lot of money into take your money and don't wanna know hopefully the law will crack down and put basc out of business complete joke and failure
Total let down, please don't go there. My first claim, sickening!
I have been a member of BASC over many years. Insurance cover great till you come to make a claim! BASC are now extending the insurances they do to cover cars, houses and other things - OMG. Phoned up BASC to make my claim, was advised to leave it! Got the impression they wanted to keep the number of claims down so prevented the insured member from going direct to the insurers! Waited so long to be allocated a solicitor, insurance covers legal cost to £100.000, found my own. Paid first £500 as not using the insurance companies solicitors. Solicitors scammed me, stated he had done work when he hadn't - police confirmed this, disappeared for weeks and couldn't contact him. The solicitor left the company. Will review the solicitor separately after dealing with the insurance. Have a court hearing in February, no solicitor no barrister, no help from BASC. Straight forward case, I have committed no crime! Have had the rifles for over 10 years to shoot pests and accident emergency slaughter. Have a small farming business, gives my son an income, sheep, free range broilers etc. Foxes are numerous, as are other pests except for rabbits. Need rifles to get grazing for the sheep. Grazing agreement often states must shoot vermin as part of the agreement. Also, to protect livestock and feed. Lambs are easy prey to foxes. I wouldn't insure a car, pet or anything through BASC. I have been physically ill with severe headaches, due to stress and anxiety the doctor said. The insurance and BASC are let downs, presume BASC is now an insurance broker - please don't touch them! They were excellent when sticking to their own areas of expertise in shooting and conservation. Now money making appears to be their aim! I will go to court and represent myself, tell the judge why I need the rifles my experience and point out my clean record over many years. I have filed letters, emails, receipts and documents, done my utmost to be diligent! I am not a lawyer or barrister, will do my utmost and ask for guidance! Please be careful, give BASC a miss for insurance, it could be your much loved pet or dear old car!
