Still no refund after 5 weeks

I returned a pair of blue light glasses, which was received by the company on 4/21/21.Their refund policy is to refund within 3 weeks. It is now 5/28/21, and after several correspondences, I still have not received my refund for Order #15585. At best, it is poor customer service. At worst, I feel like I am being swindled. I’ll have no choice but to get my attorney involved if I do not receive my refund by 6/1/21.

Horrible experience

I had a horrible experience trying to purchase sunglasses through Christopher Cloos.I purchased a pair that did not fit as expected. I tried to return them and the support staff took multiple days just to get me a return label. Now it has been over a month since I returned them and still not received a refund. I recommend purchasing your sunglasses elsewhere.

Never received the refund

I orderd sunglases at Christopher Cloos and sent them back, because they didn´t suit me.On 27th of March I got the confirmation, that Christopher Cloos had received the sunglasses. After 3 weeks of waiting for my refund, I contacted Christopher Cloos on 21th of April for the first time. During a couple of correspondences I was put off with phrases like : "no worries, next week we will transfer the money...". Until today (2 months later) I have not received the refund for the sunglasses (90€). I am highly displeased and can only discourage anyone to order something at Christopher Cloos.

Unexpected personalised customer experience

I left an earlier review which outlined some issues I had regarding customer service. Soon after,I was contacted by William, who had taken the time to look into what had happened. There had clearly just been an admin error, and I was kindly offered compensation beyond my expectation. I was also refunded immediately. I appreciated that they took the time to actually look into the problem and contacted me to explain and help resolve this mistake. Too often companies are quick to make excuses for their errors, or apologise, but don't really take the time to understand how the problem came to be. I do think this is a young company that experiences small hiccups, as expected, but is committed to improving and is completely trustworthy. I would definitely recommend them and would confidently order from them again.

My original experience did not go well. BUT William went above and beyond to correct the issue!He even followed up for 5 days until it was completely resolved! I will order from this company again! Thank you for making this right! I will have to say once William got involved this was the absolute best customer service! Thank you for going above and beyond!

While it initially took over a month for me to receive my prescription Paloma sunglasses,I am very happy with the product! There was a hiccup with the customer service as I wanted to confirm a slight adjustment to my initial online order and to confirm the status of the shipment. I did not get a response for quite some time. Eventually, William, the Head of Operations, persistently followed up with me to explain that there were delays due to the supply chain and offered to compensate me for the shipping delay. Once that happened, I promptly received my sunglasses and will very likely buy another pair soon!

Update: Kristian reached out to me the next morning by phone, personally apologizing for the customer service experience I had.He took the time to investigate what happened, and explained that one of the customer service representatives I interacted with had been let go. He offered ways to make up for the experience, but more importantly I appreciated the personal connection and commitment to improve the customer experience. Also, I should note that Sophie was very kind and responsive, and was just trying to improve an already negative experience that she had been handed. Certainly not her fault. If all future inquiries are handled by Sophie or representatives like her, I'll have renewed trust in CCloos. Adding one star to my review for Kristian and Sophie each. ---------------------- In short, I've purchased several pairs of CCloos sunglasses and blue light frames, but the customer service is the reason I will purchase no more. 2 Stars awarded for stylish frame designs that are hard to find anywhere else. -3 Stars for two terrible customer service experiences. The first occurred over the holidays, when I was shipped the wrong frames (supposed to be a Christmas gift). It took 6 days of many back and forth emails, many of mine unreplied to, in order to acquire a return shipping label. Then an additional 2 weeks after the package had been marked as return received before being told the new frames were shipped. But they weren't- it was another week before a shipping confirmation was received, which necessitated I send several additional emails to inquire about. Most of my emails to the company went ignored, or when the company (Morten, in this case) said things were completed, they weren't. So much for giving them as a Christmas gift, 2 weeks after the holidays. The second was more recent - I placed an online order, but the discount code didn't apply. My fault, I admit, so I emailed the company to cancel the order. Some unidentified person said they cancelled the order. However, no refund was processed. The unidentified person simply said they were "looking into it" and "would get back to me ASAP". Not sure what there was to look into. One week later and several unanswered emails, still no refund. I ultimately said I would need to dispute the charge with my CC, which prompted Sophie to finally respond. However, instead of a refund I was offered serial discounts. At this point, it felt like a negotiation, and I just wanted the refund. It was awkward, and way too much effort needed on my part. So, cool glasses, but not worth the hassle if anything goes awry. I like to support smaller independent retailers, but not if I can't trust the customer service.

Update 17th May 2021, 18:30: I was just called by William, who was very friendly. I was not expecting a personal call after posting my review and this just an hour later!I value that William acknowledged the honest mistake that happened & offered me compensation. If everything goes well, I will order again with Cloos. Original 17th May 21, 17:35: It took me 4 Emails to return my glasses. You have to write an Email for returns instead of a website where you get your return form and return label immediately. It felt like I was being discouraged from returning the item and getting my money back. Sad!
