Pricey to view content

I love the idea of a lab testing different brands of vitamins and sharing the results. However,I didn’t get very far. I was reading what felt like an article about vitamins on their website, although it was more of a teaser about a report they created. I thought it said I could read the report with vitamin ratings if I sign up for their email newsletter and join. Well, I didn’t see anything saying I had to pay, and after giving them my email address, the next screen said I had to pay $25 to read one report or $47.40 for a year subscription. I guess that’s what they mean by “joining.” It felt a bit sneaky to me, and the prices are too high, in my opinion. I can’t speak to the quality of the “report” since I didn’t get that far.

Sometimes misleading hotlinks

Reviewed on 2021-01-14T19:09:06

I find the information in ConsumerLab reports very useful, however your hotlinks leave something to be desired. They don't always take me to the relevant topic that I'm attracted to and the search to find the relevant topic isn't always successful. Also, I hate to say, but your page layouts are not very interesting or good. Time to bring in a new web designer!

ConsumerLab is a trustworthy testing…

Reviewed on 2020-12-19T02:47:32

ConsumerLab is a trustworthy testing company due to its truly scientific testing methodology. That's why I subscribe. There is a disturbing trend, however. In comparing a two reviews of the same supplement, say one in 2016 and one in 2020 I see you are reviewing fewer brands as time goes on. Instead you have begun to post beautiful pictures of supplement bottles to cover up this fact (also making viewing on a smartphone a real chore). I pay for your service and think that you should be reviewing MORE brands instead of fewer. For instance, you have never reviewed Wonder Labs even though they have been a significant supplement supplier for 20 or more years. I know you do review Trader Joe's upon occasion but it is nowhere near the number of various supplements they sell. I recently filled out your very tedious survey of supplements and supplement suppliers so you do know about the various manufacturers. It's just that you choose so few to be reviewed. Please don't go the way of Consumer Reports which has decided it is arbiter of investment, the dangers of supplements, home improvement, and may other areas in which they have no business writing about. They used to just test things (and give some advice); now they are the great experts of America.

Consumerlab. Poor consumer service.

Reviewed on 2020-11-19T22:23:54

Consumerlabs communication is exceptionally poor. For a company saying it informs consumer advice,Consumerlab did not respond to the many emails sent to them. When eventually they did, they did not answer my questions. What is the problem with this company, Consumerlab, that cannot respond to consumer queries!
