We had a flight booked from Panama to Chicago direct COPA change our flight to Panama to Miami Connectingon a different airline from Miami to Chicago which was missed due to COPA‘s delay leaving Panama causing us to be stranded in Miami. COPA nowhere to be found and had to pay Another airline to get us home totally unacceptable.

Hello everyone, my name is Chris. Today is Aprll,4,2021. It’s currently 2:06 am eastern time.I have a bit of a complaint. I booked a flight with copa airlines a few days ago arrived 45mins early with no one at checkout to serve me and my girlfriend our ticket to Panama in JFK airport. Lucky for us we booked in online but as we arrive to A2 gate the ladies behind the desk said we was late as the doors was open and plane hasn’t left mind you at this point we had about 35mins to spare before our plane departed (2:10am) instead of them assisting us and helping us with time they decided to keep repeating that we was late as the plane didn’t take off yet! I think copa needs to find better employees or have better customer service. Now on my birthday I have missed my plane and can’t contact copa since the airlines isn’t open! NEVER AGAIN WILL I BOOK WITH COPA!!! WORSE DAY EVER THANKS!

Do not buy tickets with them! Avoid at any costs! Was denied to board because of not having yellow fever vaccine.They not responding in any your email or messages at facebook! no phone to call them! Even when requested to give me a document to have a confirmed reason why I was denied boarding they not provide anything! I put them into my black list as a airlines which I will never fly again at any costs!

COPA AIRLINES REFUSES TO REFUND THOUGH DOT MANDATES PASSENGERS BE REFUNDED FOR FLIGHTS CANCELED BY THE AIRLINES DURING THE COVID PANDEMIC UNFORTUNATELY,COPA AIRLINES FAILS TO REPLY TO EMAILS AND IF THEY FINALLY GET AROUND TO ANSWERING 1 of 15 SENT, IT WILL BE WITH A GENERIC REPLY HAVING NOTHING TO DO WITH THE PROBLEM YOU HAVE DESCRIBED IN THE 14 PRIOR EMAILS. THE DOT SENT OUT THE FOLLOWING NOTICE: Friday, April 3, 2020 WASHINGTON – The U.S. Department of Transportation today issued an Enforcement Notice clarifying, in the context of the 2019 Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) public health emergency, that U.S. and foreign airlines remain obligated to provide a prompt refund to passengers for flights to, within, or from the United States when the carrier cancels the passenger’s scheduled flight or makes a significant schedule change and the passenger chooses not to accept the alternative offered by the carrier. The obligation of airlines to provide refunds, including the ticket price and any optional fee charged for services a passenger is unable to use, does not cease when the flight disruptions are outside of the carrier’s control (e.g., a result of government restrictions). do not travel with this company which hires unprofessional and racist staff

We had our worst travel experience with this airline in Dominican Republic. The staff is rude,careless and racist. They blocked us telling since we are Haitian we need a transit visa for Panama, while the Panama embassy in Haiti give us back our passports because they said we don't need a transit visa since we have a national Visa (Residence) for the Schengen area. Worst our layover was less than 2 hours, without having to go through immigration. We had the decree issued by the Panamanian government where it is clearly mentioned that we are visa free, but the staff ignored and despised us, refused to speak to us (we looked like dogs barking to pedestrians). We were a group of 15 people, the others were able to leave, but not us. We had to pay for 1 night in a hotel, buy another ticket with another airline, pay a taxi to go to Punta Cana, pay 1 night in Paris, redo the Covid tests before resuming our flight to our destination, imagine if we were travel without enough of money? It was unfair and very uncomfortable to be treated like that by ignorant people.

Refund on pandemic and "flexible" Voucher

In 2019, I booked a flight to Brazil to see my family. With the pandemic most flights got cancelled as well as mine.For about a year, I've been trying to figure out what to do Re-book or ask for refund. After cases in Brazil skyrocketed, I decided to ask for a refund since there is no idea when to go. Copa said they cannot refund and I can either go to Brazil or pay difference to another route, or loose the ticket. Customer support has taken months to answer any question and the "flexibility" they preach is only helping them. I spent hours with them on the phone trying to find a away and it's almost zero capability of getting help. In 2 decades traveling, this is by far the worst company I had the displeasure to work with. I honestly suggest that if you can, avoid them. I have no intention of ever booking anything with them ever.
