I recently ordered a Garmin GPS…
I recently ordered a Garmin GPS…. I thought I had ordered the Zumo XT2 version when I mistakenly had ordered the XT version. With that said I read their policy on sales and exchange, I was not very hopeful that they would or could help, but I called them to give them a chance. With that said the Service Team went into action. They contacted Garmin and although the product had already shipped (less than a day, btw), Garmin recalled the shipment and will be issuing a refund for my mistake. This is above and beyond what ExpertVoice’s policy states. Thank you for the help EHK
Great website
Great website, I’m qualified with military discount but they have other qualifications for Law Enforcement, Teacher, Nurses and other professions. I have enjoyed some major discounts, most range 25% however plenty of brands offer 40%-60% for items.
Customer Support Came Through!
EDIT: My original review was one star. They have since made good and came through. I made a purchase through Expert Voice on January 26. They charged my credit card in the amount of $6.09 multiple times- 3,222 times in the span of two days, adding up to a grand total of $19,621.98 on my credit card to be almost $14,000 over the limit. Of course, I reported it to my credit card company right away, but due to the thousands of fraudulent charges, it's going to take them a while to sort through. Meanwhile, my credit went from good standing to the toilet. I then went to contact Expert Voice customer support. Apparently, I there was a security breech somewhere which caused this. I'm also a disabled veteran with multiple sclerosis on a fixed income. To say that I was frustrated was an understatement. Much to ExpertVoice's credit though, they did stay in contact with me daily until the issue was resolved. Not only did their customer support resolve the problem, I was offered a $500 gift card for all my trouble. Wow! That was unexpected but very much appreciated.
Much easier way to pro deal
While deals can range considerably versus direct professional relationships with outdoor companies, expertvoice has made it so much easier to access pro offers than requesting every place one by one. Their training feels a little like a retail job but I get the point and appreciate them sharing info as people do ask us for gear advice all the time.
Meh.
This site is for new brands that you've never heard of to get exposure or established brands to get rid of inventory glut. I often find better prices are found on Amazon or other websites. Once in a while there will be a great deal but it's often poor or ill fitting products. I recently was sent a 40% off email from Garmin by mistake. I didn't actually have access in the platform. What could have saved me hundred or even over $1000, they gave me a $10 coupon that expires after 2 days.
Their customer service is terrible
Their customer service is terrible. I have been using Expervoice for years and in the last year it has been bad. I waited 9 months for a proof research barrel that never arrived and had to cancel. The barrel was supposed to be instock when I ordered it. I have had two missing items out of the last 4 orders and nobody will reply from customer service. I think the vendor has a lot to do with it. Athlon is the worst. I had items they sold me out of stock, they cancelled and then shipped twice. Of course they also charged me twice after I placed replacement orders and no longer needed the original order. Some of the vendors are amazing: Eotech, Steiner, Oakley, Front Runner Outfitters, and Vortex to name a few.
Ineffectual Middle-Man
I placed orders with them twice and both times the item advertised was actually out of stock, but they didn't let me know for a week or until I inquired after 3 weeks, respectively. Absolutely pounded with email ads. They give the impression they want to get product into the hands of influential retailers, but they're just an ineffectual middle-man.
This company is a joke
This company is a joke. I don’t know who they have running it behind the scenes, but they couldn’t screw in a light bulb with everyone there. Don’t use them. Very unreliable with orders and horrible customer service.
