Unreliable phone, poor customer service

Phone only slightly older than a year and I'm having to replace the bottom module again because the phone won't charge.The first time happened weeks after getting the phone first and customer service messed me around for ages with stuff about charging cables before getting me to send it to France (!) for repair - a repair I could have done myself if they'd just sent me a bottom module anyway. Least reliable phone I've ever had, and ironically becoming the most wasteful. I'm sort of sorry to be leaving such a negative review when I support the idea, but then if customer service weren't just as bad as the phone then I wouldn't be quite so fed up.

Pros
Is modular so I can fix it myself
Battery last long
Double SIM
No overheating during charging
It realy seams solid build
I got small protector with the phone
Cons
Camera could be a bit better,sometimes is not catching focus on close objects
Is made in china so you never know how far is it there.
I don't know is it because of the screen size or the protector is too thick, but sometimes it's not detecting my touching the screen on the corners.
If they will move production out of china I will definitely get the next one if not I will still think about it.
I have that phone over a year now.

I am livid with the treatment I’ve had from this company. Like others I wanted to cut down on waste of precious resources,but after 6 months the Fairphone 3 bought in October 2020 stopped working and the screen pixelated. I was given complicated instructions to remove 13 - THIRTEEN - tiny screws and remove a component. To do this I had to earth myself! I have osteoarthritis in my thumbs and poor eyesight, and this is not possible for me. Help has been deplorable. I was told this happened if the phone was jolted. It hadn’t been ‘jolted’.
I am going to return this to PhoneCoop who sold it to me and ask for a refund. I will take out a small claim in the County court if necessary.

Very happy with my Fairphone 3, for more then half a year now. Bought it at E-Foundation with top privacy settings
The most-trusted apps are available at the own app store.All others on Aurora store. All Apps can be restricted in their activities.
That makes me feel very comfortable.
The phone could be a bit smaller.
And there could be an update for the phone app, to get five stars ;-)

A mixed bag

I bought the Fairphone 3 in June 2020 and it worked fine until Jan 2021. I love that it is an ethical,long lasting phone. I love that it had a 1year warranty, so that when it did break it was covered. But as soon as it broke it was just painful getting it fixed and the whole business model of buying one phone and having it last for years fell apart. They just couldn't get their act together and to cut a long story short it took two months for Fairphone to get my phone working again. Who is happy to be without a phone for two months nowadays? It just made me want to buy a different phone, rendering the business model void. Customer service responses were drawn out and vaguely apathetic, there didn't seem much real value for the customer or a desire to set things right. I still have my Fairphone and hopefully it will last for many years to come. I'm willing to chance that it does as I like what Fairphone do and I'm willing to endure a bit if poor service to support it!

Bought a fiarphone a couple of months ago. Had some issues with it. 1) Everytime i got a phone-call,the number would be shown as "unknown caller" 2) At random times, whenever i would be in a call, my microphone would'nt seem to funktion prob. So i would get respones from people saying they could not hear me.
I called the fairphone support, and had a super conversation about my problems. The guy told me, that my problems with the microphone is a software issue, that will be fixed in the next update. And then he sent me a mail with the info i needed to fix the "unknown" number-problem. At one point i lost signal, and the guy called me back short after to finish our conversation. All-in-all a lovely support!
(I bought a screen-protector, the one with blue-light. And it seems to be to thick, that the phone sometimes does not respond to my touch).
