1. it is NOTHING more then a hosting site for only fans and porn hub accounts
2.Its main use is hosting "amatuer porn companies" trying to find young females for new porn movies
3. Its extremely liberal. In fact, the entire moderator stance and customer support stance is
If you identify as a straight white male, you are not allowed to complain about ANYTHING. you CANNOT flag content or user members as banned criminal activity or anything bad.
4. WHITE STRAIGHT MALE profiles seem to be deleted in 4 days if they do not become a paid member. The process starts the second time you log in with a new profile, and is having to submit a "forgot password ticket" because SOMEHOW the system will claim "you changed your password since last log in"
And after that every time you log out, your password changes and after the 5h time it flags something in their system and you suddenly dont have an account.
"support" email is useless, as their system BLOCKS email from any email from a "banned/suspended/flagged user account".
BEFORE you say anything, I have had 10 accounts in the last 6 months get killed for not becoming a paid member
And i have had 4 seperate accounts get deleted in the last 2 months because i reported scam users, scams being sent to my inbox, and members committing crimes such as sex trafficking of minors via the site.

This site long ago used to be decent. But now that it's aged, it's showing cracks in the foundation.The site used to be moderated well and things kept copacetic for the most part.
Now, all the riff-riff is allowed to stay and do as they please while the people being harassed or attacked are penalized and blamed.
Not only that, it is overrun with fake accounts from scammers, and others attempting to make money from simps via their onlyfans pages. No real conversation, just"Oh, like what you see? PAY ME!".
Since their credit processor issue. They ask people to send money directly, via gift cards, or by cc using an overseas processor now. But honestly? The things you get for supporting the site, just aren't enough or worth it.
It certainly was a in a sad state

I have been a regular member of Fetlife, on and off, since 2011. That makes me one of the rare "long term members" despite the fact that I had to take occaisional vacations from the website.In the beginning, 2011-2012 it was actually interesting and things were ok. But over time the ultra left liberals took over the website with a fervor that makes a Stalin era purge look enjoyable.
The main issues with Fetlife that are well known to members:
1. The ultra liberalism of Fetlife.
It is essentially unsafe and not good to announce yourself as either a heterosexual or conservative white male. If you do, you will be relentlessly hunted down until admin team deletes your profile.
2. Excessive bullying by paid members and friends of a friend of a fetlife administrative member.
If you say ANYTHING about a fetlife staffer, or someone they like on the website, your profile will be deleted that day. Sometimes within minutes of making a negative post about that person or even the website.
3. Say anything negative about the website or its agents, and you will be deleted. No matter what.
4. You cannot report ANYONE who is a paid member, fetlife staffer, or a friend or sock puppet account of a fetlife staffer.
If you do, you will be deleted. Even when you report someone for admitting how they used their 14 year old daughter at a nudist beach as a means for entertaining their "Dominant", YOU will be deleted instead.
5. The fetlife staffers will allow and encourage their friends on the site to break any rule in the websites terms of usage policy if it will further their ambition or protect them and their friends
Meaning if a normal member of the website says they were raped by another member, or that the head committee of the biggest fetlife approved and endorsed bondage club in England has 3 convicted child molesters on it, THOSE whistle blowers are deleted from the website.
But when the admin staff want to get rid of a member, they will allow people to post photographs of the persons HOUSE and STREET address on the website, as well as photo copies of the persons DRIVERS LICENCE.
The things people DO NOT talk about in regards to Fetlife and the LAW
1. They announced a few years ago that they had to shut down credit card service due to the companies "finding offensive content on the website". The issue with that is, Fetlife did that as a fake way to get around reporting their income to the tax agency in canada and cyprus.
How do you ask? Fetlife instituted the policy that members could send their paid membership fees to Fetlife in the form of GIFT CARDS to star bucks, victoria's secret, and similar online retailers in a plain envelope to their office in Canada or Cyprus.
No money technically changed hands so the taxes were evaded.
2. Prostitution
Prostitution is a major player on Fetlife now. There are entire user groups dedicated solely to the purpose of individuals advertising the sexual things they will do for money.
3. Onlyfans/Pornhub
This year fetlife made a policy in an announcement that exchanging sexual acts for MONEY was acceptable. But exchanging sexual acts for a PHYSICAL ITEM like say a new hat, was NOT allowed.
Pornhub and only fans members have taken the site over. Oddly as most of the fetlife video content is already being offered on only fans and pornhub. Essentially fetlife IS the source for at least 80% of all fetish/bdsm related content on pornhub.
Do not forget that the video content and members removed from pornhub this fall are still on view at fetlife.com
4. Fetlife has instituted rolling blackouts on accessing the website for non paying members and for members they do not like on grounds of political and religious and sexual reasons.
ie if you are a straight white man, or conservative white man, if you can get onto the website more then an hour a day consider yourself privileged
5. The site is horribly racist
against white men.
MOST content now seems to be taken literally from the website of black lives matter. You cannot contradict or refute or disprove ANY material that is posted if it is anti white

If you want to experience exactly why social media is so unhealthy, spend time on Fetlife.Just don't stay too long.
Even in its inception it was a hotbed of bullying, bickering, and two-faced jealousy, as a myriad of troubled souls battle it out to be on its 'kinky and popular' page in the hope that being so will somehow transform their lives.
That bullying and jostling for 'power' was bad enough in the early days, but now it's also literally crammed full of desperate young girls trying to sell every aspect of their sexuality for whatever coin they can muster.
As a consequence it's barely possible to find anyone who is actually on the site simply to engage with likeminded, genuine people. And the few that aren't there to sell or promote something are often so troubled that they're desperately vindictive, broken, jealous individuals.
The entire site revolves around being 'popular', something that's achieved by getting as many likes on your images/writing as possible. However 'success' is not gleaned by producing quality images/writing, but by liking as many other people's pictures/writings as possible, just so that they like yours back and in turn become 'friends' or 'followers'.
Being liked by one of the 'power players' gets you into the cliques and everyone on the site desperately tries to achieve that. Naturally, this induces mass jealousy, back biting, sniping and two faced behaviour on an outlandish scale. It's a genuinely unhealthy cycle but wholly encouraged by the system Fetlife has set up.
Then there's the politicos. Imagine the worst aspects of Twitter and you have the politicos of Fetlife, who apply 'cancel culture' pressure on anyone not supporting the current fad they deem everyone should be desperately supporting.
Fetlife is a cesspit and a glaring example of why social media is so grotesque and unhealthy. People go on there and think getting 'likes' and 'popularity' will change their lives, and it will, just not how they imagine it when they join up. It won't make you happy, it won't make you feel good about yourself, and it has nothing whatsoever to do with kink.
To conclude, Fetlife is full of bullies, politicos and money driven desperados. Roll up, roll up to the seedy underbelly of social media!
