Throughout the process of claiming on the warranty of my Fronius Inverter, I found the technical staff at this company extremely helpful and keeping me informed at all times.There was no problem with the replacement and it was delivered to my installer as expected. Well done the staff at Fronius - excellent customer service!

Inverter Fail

Inverter Fail : Fronius Galvo 2.0-1 Unit installed July 2018, 2019 solar output dropped to sometimes 2-3kw per day instead of upto 16kw pday.Peak time TAKING into account seasonal changes!, I contacted installer Solar gain Perth and had a technician come out 9 Nov 2019, they found that software had failed and he re installed/updated this with backup from Fronius Tech support.
This seems to have rectified loss of output, I am now trying to claim lost solar rebate and was told by installer this issue WAS MANUFACTURING FAULT QUOTE "Hi Peter,
Just emailing in response to your recent txt RE the lost rebates you would like to claim from us.
I have reviewed your portal and the technicians notes and due to this being a manufacturer fault rather than an error of Solargain or the overall installation of the system, we would at this stage not be compensating for the loss of rebates.
You are most welcome to contact Fronius directly on 03 8340 2910 and seek reimbursement from them directly if you wish and this will be up to their discretion."
I then had to contact Fronius(Melbourne) and explained the issue, was told I HAD TO provide proof of issue and THEY claim it's installers problem QUOTE" Dear Peter,
Thank you for contacting Fronius Australia regarding compensation for low production of your solar system.
Unfortunately, we don't have enough proof that Fronius Galvo 2.0-1 inverter was faulty to cause the low production of your solar system. When the case was first created, there was no issue documented against the inverter and suggested the installation company to check the cable connections. Apparently, the system started started working fine as there is no further conversation documented in our system.
The system's production can vary every year depending upon various factors and kindly remember not just with inverter.
Moreover, Fronius recommends the end customers to reach out the solar installation company as first point of contact for immediate response. As mentioned on the call, kindly advise the installation company to contact us regarding this issue to get more technical information to make sure, why is this inverter fault?"
, so will not pay for lost rebate or acknowledge any issue of their unit. Although they had to authorize the update/repair originally.
I WOULD TELL EVERYONE TO AVOID HAVING ANY FRONIUS PRODUCT INSTALLED INTO YOUR HOMES and to NOW go check the OUTPUT of your systems if you have one then might like mine it may NOT BE GIVING you the full output due to a problem in the SOFTWARE! AVOID FRONIUS PRODUCTS and SOLARGAIN installer! as they DO not accept wrong doing for issues caused by their installation or product!

I have paid extra for the data logger…

I have paid extra for the data logger which should allow me to see my production in real time on my phone.A week or so after got the whole thing installed, I realized the data logger data do not at all fit the data I read manually from my meter, so I called the customer service, and they sent a technician who indeed detected a problem. Now, a year later I see that the data I get in the fronius app do not at all fit the data I get from my power supplier (fronius is showing lower values than my power meter). So the meter doesn't work- it is a waste of money..

Fantastic support.
In February I had a new inverter from Fronius installed. There was som problem withthe lan-connection which I could not get solved.
Today I contacted the support team in Austria for help. I got in contact with Ante Bikic from the support-team. Immediately Ante took over my pc and began the error investigation. After 10 to 15 minutes he had made some changes in my Fronius Datamanager and in my router. Now everything was up and running.
That's what I will call 'top support'.
