Factory defects

I emailed to make them aware that my les paul left the factory with a half completed inspection sheet and a string of physical defects.All I hoped for was an acknowledgement of error, a promise to investigate how it happened and reassure me that they will work to make sure it doesn't happen again; a guitar costing over 2k should not be leaving the factory with a misaligned fret board and then some. They just kept saying it wasn't their responsibility because I purchased used.. I wasn't asking them to repair; I wasn't asking about warranty. I just expected more from a Gibson guitar and thought they should be made aware of the poor manufacturing standards. I'd been considering a Gibson custom next year, but I no longer have any trust in the brand.

The equipment I have bought from Gibson has been 'good' but no comparison to Taylor, but Gibson are good overall,I haven't bought their guitars but I have bought their equipment and that seems fine.

Imagine buying an 130 Dollar Hummingbird Strap for your 5000 Dollar Hummingbird. And the paint of the strap goes down to your guitar.And your Shirt. The Metall parts have not been sealed properly. BUT GOD BEWARE!! We have the GIBSON CUstomer Service Reply : "Ah sorry we cant to anything about it" signature_1366119750 Stijn Vergeest Customer Service Gibson Brands, Inc. 00+8004GIBSON1 GIBSON Dear Mr Vergeest you know you have CUSTOMER SERVICE in your E Mail Attachment. Maybe you should check it. And yeah the company i ordered from replaced it and guess what. Its the same sh+++ as the last one. So please in Gods Name discontinue this piece of crap. 130 Dollar for an Strap that cant keep his paint on the metall. Why even paint it black at all?

This is kind of a mixed review. I've recently purchased a brand new LP Standard 60.The guitar plays perfectly and I have no issues. It's a great guitar. However, when I went to pick up the guitar case the handle pulled up and almost completely off the case. I called Gibson and they said no problem, just send the case back (paid for my own shipping $35.00) and we'll send a new one out to you. Great! Well it's been 3 months now and they're still working on the order. I still don't have a case and cannot play my LP at gigs with no way to transport it. This is super frustrating. Update: as of February 2021, I did finally receive the case.

Imagine spending over $1,000 on something, waiting 2 weeks for it to arrive, have it not arrive,call customer service and have the guy not care what so ever about helping you, say they'll send you an email the next day regarding the situation, only for the orders to be cancelled and deemed as "fraudulent." Rep didn't give me any solution to the problem other than "Try ordering from us again or go through a dealer." And when I asked how the orders were fraudulent, he said "I don't know that's not my department." So that means that I have to wait even longer to get the instrument and gear I wanted if I even want to place to order again with no clear answer of what happened. Which honestly after that experience, I'm tempted to go to another brand. Sure they may be known for the quality and tech of their gear and instruments, but after that experience I'm very reluctant to give them my money and would rather take my business elsewhere. Very sketchy.
