After receiving my first box and feeling slightly disappointed ( I've always used another company,which were excellent) I decided not to proceed with my subscription. I cancelled my subscription immediately giving Gusto a plenty of notice I would not require another box. They still took payment and got in touch with them to say there had been a mistake and I had cancelled my box. They said they would look into it and in the mean time I have another box delivered. Upon receipt of this box I again contacted them and they said as the box was delivered unfortunately I couldn't have a refund but they would give me 20% of my next box. A box that I would never be ordering. The meal choice is ok but not as good others and the produce is ok. All in all very mediocre and appalling customer service. My advice use Hello Fresh

Damaged box received with chicken juices spilled all over Ingredients. After many e mails the box was eventually refunded. Think they are growing too quick as regularly have ingredients missing.Will be trying an alternative supplyer

Excellent food and service

I’ve been using Gousto for a couple of months now. I’ve had a couple of issues with DPD’s awful deliveryservice in the last two weeks but Gousto have replied to my emails promptly both times and have given me financial recompense too. I originally had my box delivered on a different day with a different courier (Yodel), so I’m going back to that day again so hopefully that’ll be problem solved. On to the box itself: I’ve had an ingredient change maybe twice in two months, one was chicken fillets instead of diced chicken pieces so not exactly a problem! My household is just my son and I, he is Autistic so a VERY fussy eater. We had tried Hello Fresh before but it’s mostly foreign food which he is not so keen on. Gousto is much much better for us. There’s a great combination of choices between foreign and British dishes, they’re all straightforward to cook, and we haven’t had a “duff” one yet! I leave out the ingredients my soon won’t eat (usually the veg ?), or I cook it separately to mix into mine on the plate). We often cook together which is a novelty as well! In short, I’m really pleased with the food and service I’ve had so far. Thank you, Gousto.

Appalling, If I could give 0 stars I would. The customer service is awful. I received my first box,meal was missing. No problem I thought, these things happen. Requested a refund through the app for the missing items. Easy! Haha, no. Didn't get a refund notification, invoice for the next box was at full price. We'll fine, it wasn't a lot of money anyway, I'll just move on. Next box comes, item arrive smashed (glass so inedible). This is frustrating. Fine, ask for a refund on that and ask if I can have my subscription cancelled through customer services email. This is were it all goes down hill. Get ignored, then only get half an answer. I am repeatedly called by the wrong name. I keep asking for my subscription to be cancelled. Then they said the email thread was closed and dill have to contact them again. So I did that, get ignored. Then called by the wrong name again. I start asking for my complaint to be escalated now because no one is cancelling my subscription. I get another box. I've asked for a refund. Ignored. Asked for the complaints to be escalated 4/5ish times. Ignored. Told I can't have a refund because I only requested a few days prior, so I sent proof of my original email requesting that its cancelled and again request my complaint be escalated (also called by the wrong name) that was a few days ago now. Still waiting a response, if I get one at all. I have been able to pause it but nit cancel but I think right now that's the best result I'll get. Please avoid this place, there are other boxes that have wonderful customer services. Good recipes that don't come smashed, and they'll call you by your name.

I've been a very vocal supporter of Gousto since I joined a couple of years ago. I really admired the company and its founder Timo who seemed to be doing all the right things.Lately the wheels have started to come off. Veg squashed and damaged and items missing and the menus haven't evolved as much as I'd hope. Generally they have been good at offering a small compensation when bags are wrong or items are missing. The last straw was when my delivery was dropped somewhere else and they wouldn't tell me where. In the end, the wrong recipients dropped it to my house for me. Four days later I still haven't heard from the company (they said they would follow up within 24 hours). Disappointing given how much I had praised the company and how many new customers I had introduced. Competition is hotting up now so I'm off to try out the others and see if they value their existing customers a bit more.

We started gousto about 5 months ago. I find it so convenient so I don’t have to think about what to cook for 4 nights in the week,it’s great quality food usually minus a few ingredients but in 5 months we’ve never experienced a terrible meal or had any complaints. The only thing I would say is, the sign up incentive is great with discounts etc but as a loyal customer the price is pretty expensive. I would get it every week if it wasn’t so much. Or if it was at least 5 nights a week for that price.

Irony just died with Gousto Customer Service

I’ve been a customer of Gousto for many years. By and large they’ve been OK. Recently however the delivery system went haywire.My order got ‘lost’ at their end and they arbitrarily rescheduled for the following week with no notification. When I spoke to them, I was advised I’d get an email. I did. Eventually. It read: “This is a heads up that your Gousto delivery day has been moved, so your next box might arrive on an unexpected week. This is due to some upgrades from our Tech team, which seem to have reset the subscription settings on your Gousto account.” To fit back into my schedule I’m having to wait 4 weeks. No sweetener to say “Sorry, we screwed up, have a free box” (for instance). The customer service… just isn’t. It’s customer abuse. None of this is news to Gousto btw. They just don’t care.
