You guys are horrible now! I've been a GC fan and shopper for over 15 years. I actually worked here back in the day.Service was always good. Seems since you guys went Bankrupt, service is now subpar. I've been sent used gear that was advertised as brand new. I was even told by a phone rep, the only way to guarantee I'd receive a new product was to order through him. I guess adding a new product to my online cart doesn't mean anything now! My other gripe is that I had an order that was never shipped, and it's been over a month now, and no one has even got back with me once to tell me the current status. I'm used to companies that'll take care of the customer first, then deal with UPS on the back end. Why am I waiting for a refund to something that you already have proof I've never received! I'm am through with you guys. Every rep I've dealt with has been very nice for the most part, too bad they work for a company with bad policies and no general sense of what good customer service is.

I had a horrible experience with Guitar Center first I purchased some equipment I spoke to a live agent while I did it he said everything was great as far as the card I was using to purchase it,I purchased this way in advance because I had a client that accurate and wanted it to be here I noticed seven days went by and nothing look at my email I didn't get no tracking information I've waited finally call and they told me it was canceled because they needed a third-party verification I use my wife's card with her name on it which I understand but I left all my information my telephone number and email did not receive one email telling me it was canceled I try to reorder but the card that was cancelled didn't have the funds in it yet and they told me it will take up to 7 to 10 business days and there goes my client and the $400 I lost from this headache I would not have the keyboard here on time and the other equipment I will have to wait for their Bank to release my money back into the card what I'm saying they could have called me because they have my number and told me that the name did not match up when I was speaking to a live agent clearly he knows that. Name was not the same name he told me it was perfectly everything went well it would be shipping immediately they should have told me if I had another card to purchases with a card with my name and I would have given them that they delay me where I lost my client I was not able to reschedule I spoke to some rule people on Guitar Center I asked for it the third-party verification and a supervisor they did not want to give to me I have to call over and over till I get an agent that would do this for me finally I got in a good guy by the name of Carter that helped me to complete the order only reason why I'm doing this order it's because I need it immediately and it was the only deal I can get at the time that was good I will no longer use Guitar Center again I will boycott them along with my other guys that work with me and use them as well we have been using Sam Ash also I never had that problem they just didn't have the product I needed for that particular job I work with many people in the industry and promise to spread the word and I will do everything in power to make sure that the idiot by the name of Cody did not want to transfer me over Twitter supervisor or the third-party verification for reasons I don't know why but I was told to call the next day because they were closed I speak to the third-party verification I already had spoke to someone from the third-party verification I just didn't have the card on me to complete the action I do not recommend anyone to deal with this Guitar Center this is an overrated company with lousy workers unprofessional and my next step is to call the Better Business Bureau that's giving them a beautiful name for no reason and I will make sure that. BBB won't stick there anymore horrible experience I'm going on two days if I was able to get my equipment somewhere else so that price I would have cancelled the order myself don't trust these people I don't think they even have supervisors anyone telling them anything and for some reason all these agents sound the same and they may be given the same name out but little do they know I recorded all the conversations I think all I do because I do work for the consumer affairs and I will also be putting in a grievance complaint through the company

Bought a Boss NS2 Noise Suppressor (used) online, said pedal was in excellent condition,bought and used a few times in a home setting, for $75 plus shipping. Thought I found an awesome deal!!
Didnt get to have full band practice till a month after purchase due to reasons, we finally get together and I'm stoked to use my new pedal, we play heavy music and noise control really makes a huge difference. Well I hook her all up and NOISE NOISE NOISE. I swap out for my buddies NS2 and its perfect, back to mine and NOISE NOISE NOISE. Never buy used from GC, in fact don't buy from GC at all. Next time I'll order new from Sweetwater.

Guitar Center has terrible management. I went to GC Rockford Ill. This was after I went to web page that said this store has QSC CP12 in stock.Salesman said that is somewhere in the company. So the web page inventory by store is not trusted by employees. A fixable problem if someone cared. He sold me an open box speaker and said it was open just to look at the speaker. Once home I registered and .. Yikes!!! This is not a new speaker!!!! Why did I drive 30 miles to buy a new speaker, and not even told it was not new. Presented and sold as new. Again.. a fixable problem if somebody cared. So I believe Guitar Center does not care, And Its no longer an option.

Bought re-stocked Yamaha Red-Label. Had a slight buzz.. Changed strings (same gauge..) and it increased.Also believe someone put the wrong pins on this guitar before a bought it. Anyway, one week turn aorund time for repair of my brand new guitar. so they say at my local GC. I have to return the guitar I own to get a replacement and I have no box to ship it in, Cust. support was no help and left me on infinite hold. So, don' t buy from Guitar Center. I found out and now will sell my new purchase to recover some of my money. Maybe I will just quit playing after this -- it is just too much stress and hassle.

I was sold a broken drum set online.
After cleaning it for a week got to the bass drum and it wasseverely damaged on the inside.
Returned them to my local GC for a full refund.
Ask for 1 thing from customer service executive.
What ever happens, if you split the kit up or
repair please give me first option to buy them.
Because I was the person that had $1000
floating around for 2 weeks.
Never heard back!!!
Apparently it was repaired and put back out for sale!
Extremely POOR customer service!!

I've been a loyal customer and a fan of Guitar Center fan 6 years now. I love all the locations.I even love Guitar Center as a company. The locations are always clean. The staff members are knowledgeable, and they're always high in inventory. However, Guitar Center lacks diversity. As a loyal customer, and with it personally being my absolute favorite music store. I would love to see more staff members who look like me. Then GC would become more relatable to customers/students of color. I'm not saying GC don't employ people of color... I've visited locations throughout the country, and there are black and Hispanic employees, but they're few and far between. I'm currently located in Arizona and for this very reason, (especially with it being my favorite music store) I've actually applied for a position at Guitar Center - 157 Marana in attempt to break their color barrier. I've summitted the required documents. I've visited the facility and called a plethora of times. I've even spoken with the Manager of this location once, very briefly. I was even promised a return phone call this very day,, but the Manager has yet to respond. I would like this review to reach the CEO Ron Japinga. Drove 20 miles looking for help with an electric guitar. Had full intentions of buying a new guitar while there.The "help" consisted of handing me a set of strings and walking away. No one even asked me about any of the guitars I was looking at buying. It was near impossible just to get someone to ring me up for the strings. Almost left without them. First and last time in one of these stores. Horrible customer service.
