Have I Been Pwned (HIBP) is a free data breach search and notification service. The service has been used by tens of millions of people to search through billions of breached records and supports tens of thousands of visitors a day. HIBP aggregates data that's been exposed publicly and enables individuals and organisations to assess their exposure. Searches only require an email address and provide immediate feedback. The notification service monitors for ongoing exposure and emails an address owner if it subsequently turns up in a data breach. HIBP also supports free domain searches for organisations to assess the total exposure of addresses on corporate domains. As with email addresses, domain searches can be performed on the spot and notifications sent if future exposure is detected. There is also a freely accessible API that enables developers to build solutions to help victims of data breaches understand their exposure.

A friend got hacked recently. We traced back the origin (reusing passwords and one got leaked)thanks to this web.
(Even though it only asks for the eMail address (I don't want to end up in more mailing lists), I checked Reddit, Trustpilot, Wikipedia and Google and didn't see any red flags so I trust this page)

This is one of my top ten favorite sites! I use Have I Been Pwned on a daily basis not only because it's great for knowing if your address has been leaked,but also because there are a ton of illegal websites on there like cracked.to or blackspigot and its good to know if people you're dealing with are up to illegal stuff.

Haveibeenpwned is a great site where you can type in your email and see if it was compromised in an account breach from a website.For example, if you have a MySpace account with your email '*******@123.net' then you would be able to see how many times that your email could have been compromised and how many times has your password been pasted from your account. If your email is found to be breached from a site hack then you should definitely change your password for that email and any accounts that you're using that email for.
