As an update Honda are now trying to remove genuine poor reviews - maybe they should deal with complaintsfairly instead of trying to silence people
I wish it were possible to leave a minus star - Honda would qualify
In 2017 I was parking my Honda CRV and having 'turned off' the engine, removed the key and exited the car at which point I felt it move back slightly. I could still hear the engine running. Confused I got back in and turned the key again and move the car slightly forward. As I did it stuck on reverse and shot backwards [it was an automatic] slamming into a parked car and trapping my arm. My hip and sacrum were fractured, my arm broken in several places and degloved and I was literally black from bruising. My arm will never be straight with all the pins and plates in it and I have post traumatic arthritis. I had my car examined by a professional who found the fault with the ignition barrel which was a known fault with a CRV of this age. Hondas solicitors denied responsibility and my insurer [Markerstudy] 'accidentally' destroyed the car - therefore the evidence I needed to take them to Court. The insurers admitted this and offered £250 compensation which was not accepted. No solicitor would touch the case as they felt there wasn't enough 'evidence' but I think they just weren't prepared to take on Honda.
So thanks Honda, for your failure to accept responsibility for a known fault which left me with life changing injuries and PTSD which partly resulted in me losing my job. Shame on you. Hope you can sleep at night but I doubt thats a problem since corporately you have no conscience.

Did you guys know Honda won’t cover the cost to fix their defective sunroofs when they randomly explode?Mine just popped this morning. Cool. Thanks guys. If this has happened to you, you can contact Sauders & Schelkopf Law firm. Look their names up in google and type in “sunroof shattering.” You should be able to find the website, since in this review I’m not allowed to post links.

Never purchase a honda

Purchased a 2016 Honda pilot from carvana-within 2 days of owning all lights came on on the dashboard.Engine, break-everything. Took it to a Honda dealership, they took a week to fix something that should have only taken a day. Fuel injectors, which they had in stock. Apparently this was an issue with these vehicles as it was covered under Honda warranty. The garage-thomas Honda in johnstown pa was terrible. I had to call everyday to check on my vehicle or call several times a day just to get someone to answer the phone. The service supervisor Jim was terrible. He never returned calls, he lied to me saying my warranty would cover my rental, which they ont. Terrible for carvana then Honda won't cover it as well even though it was their fault it was in there for a WEEK. Called Honda & the garage & basically they state its my fault & I won't be reimbursed for anything. I will never buy another Honda in my life. Terrible customer service & terrible vehicles.

I had horrible experience with Honda customer services. I leased one Honda vehicle in 2018. After one year,this car was totalled after rear ended. ICBC offered very low settlement on this vehicle, approximately 15-20% lower than market value. I tried to contact Honda Canada unfortunately no response. Honda accepted this settlement. When I finally reached Honda, they said that they had nothing to lose and why they care about me.

My 2020 HR-V has been in the shop more times then I can count and this time it's been in the shop for over a month now.They can't find what causes my problem but the engineers say it a common problem with no solution and I should just take my car! This is bull crap I'm not taking a defective vehicle and putting my family in it. I've asked to have honda buy back my car as they can't fix it but no response yet. I beyond pissed!

Paint chips off and mechanical issues

We bought a 2014 Honda Pilot with 90,000 miles on it in November of 2020 after researching many reviews.In March of 2021 the paint on the front and roof of the vehicle was completely off. We were baffled. We researched this issue and found out that Honda used faulty paint on their white 2014 models and it’s been coming off in droves. They recalled but decided that only for 7 years after the car is released. So that means by January 2021 the 2014 I just paid 20k for because they are such “great” cars needs a new 2,500 paint job...because Honda used cheap crappy paint.... and knew it. They refused to fix it. Also the mechanical issues this thing has are pathetic. The trunk doesn’t pop open or shut a third of the time so I have to do it manually, the lights inside don’t work right and the car alarm randomly goes off. I’m so thankful this happened because we were talking in January about selling this one at the end of the year and just buying a new one next year if we liked it! Now we know we will never buy a Honda of any kind again.
