I bought several tonnes of coal over a few years. They recently put a delivery charge on,so their advertised prices don’t reflect what one actually pays.they kept this quiet until checkout though. I phoned them and they said they were passing on an increase that their hauliers imposed. Basically passing on the hit to their customers.
The reviews on their website are, somewhat unbelievably, ALL five star positive ones. Not a single review in pages of them which is anything less than 5 stars. Personally, I don’t believe this.
I keep getting emails from them telling me about their amazing deals etc and have asked twice to be removed from their mailing list. Sneaky price increases and dubious reviews on their website really put me off this company, from whom I used to order fuel 1 tonne at a time, every time.
I won’t be ordering from them again

would never use this company again, they take your money but do not deliver the coal.
we are pensioners and ordered the coal in plenty of time during the coldest winter for years,we had a message saying they had run out of coal, delivery was supposed to be delivered a week later, after emails and telephone calls, coal never arrived. had to pay for for more coal from wickes, but had to wait for refund. disgusting treatment, stay clear

poor qality mixed ovoids

bought a pallet of mixed ovoids last year and complained that there was a lot of dust and broken piecesin the bags.I was told it was a haulage problem and not all bags would be the same.
i have now just about used all the bags and they were all the same,Very poor quality fuel and poor quality service.I wont be using them again.

Put in another order of 1 Ton for Scottish Trebles and very disappointed with the lack of decent size coal.Majority is small 3-5 cm lumps

First class company. I held off reviewing for a couple of weeks until I had used some of the coal,I have found some impurities but coal is a natural product and generally the quality is extremely good. It was delivered on a pallet kerbside as described and some of the reviews are negative because of this but we have had lots of various palleted deliveries to our house and the deal is always that it is dropped kerbside and I should also like to add that the delivery driver was extremely helpful. Unfortunately we won't be able to buy house coal this way after February and I haven't yet ordered any coal alternative products which Housefuel supply but my personal experience is positive and I would definately recommend Housefuel to my friends and family.

Have been buying smokeless coal from Housefuel for a number of years, normally 2 or 3 tonnes a year.The smokeless ovals are very heat efficient used in multi-fuel stoves and very cost effective. The delivery service has always been excellent, where drivers have offered A1 service - delivery to our yard is not the easiest, but done without a grumble. Cannot recommend this company and delivery company highly enough.

Ordered half pallet of Scottish trebles back in August.
Into the 3rd or 4th bag now.While 60% of the bag are good trebles size the next 25% is some what smaller and the last 15% isnt big enough to make a fire with most falling through the grate, that goes in the bin.....not so good !
