Worst hosting company today, hostgator will need to work hard to be as bad as InMotion. I hired a cloud service,it didn't work, I asked for the cancellation and simply no one, no one was able to speak to the department responsible to make the cancellation.
DON'T BUY THAT SERVICE!!!

A decade+ using IMH

My first business transaction with IMH was on 3/3/2010 to purchase my domain name for my first website.My first computer purchase was in 1973 for our family auto parts business - a Triad Winchester drive system. My first hosting plan was purchase on 8/27/10 and I've been with them since. The quality of service has been almost always excellent. There have been some "technicians" I've had to deal with that lack sufficient expertise and/or communication skills for my satisfaction. So, they're not perfect. Over the years, accessibility to sup[port has become more time-consuming and less 100% sure of resolution, particularly with the first contact. Nonetheless, I've yet to find any compelling reason to change. More than anything, I'm consistently surprised and the length support staff will go to help me (when they understand my problem and have some sense of how to fix it.) THAT's customer service, and THAT's what I'm really paying for.

Renewals need to be more transparent

There are separate prices for renewal v/s new sign-ups. For exactly the same plan with same features.It feels like being short-changed. Why the different treatment? Why should great discounts be only offered to the new sign-ups? One has to negotiate to get the best price while renewing. This seems very opaque and non user friendly practice. There should be one rate for one plan.
Yes, of-course there can be channel promotions or other affiliate discounts, etc. however once someone signs-up with inmotionhosting, they should be offered the same price (with discounts) at renewal as being offered to a new sign-up.
I would have rated 3, however the customer support is very helpful so it's +1 for them.
It's not a perfect 5 because of company policy!
