Hi all please update the new version available 31st December. It’s gone back to the old format and it is the best GPS app available.I can’t recommend it enough. Just hoping that the bookmark option returns. Enjoy.read more

I have been using this app for years. Since the upgrade to 2.0 there is no reason anymore to use it.All the good functionality is now gone ... What a shame ...read more

DISASTER!
maps.me always showed the housenumbers of an address. Version 2.0 does not anymore.
Thefact you could find an address at house-number level was the main reason for using this app.
Now it has become useless!read more

As it is free it is quite a good map and GPS app. it works well as a GPS navigation tool without needingan internet connection which is really handy but trusting it 100% in a car can be risky if you are in an unfamiliar location as the app will often select a route that is not that logical and it can be confusing. The voice commands are especially confusing if using it as a navigation tool in the car and better not to be followed. The app can also suffer from maps being lost and having to download them all over again and obviously you need internet for that. If this happens while you are traveling and need the map it can be a real pain. This has happened to me a few times whilst traveling to other cities.
Also, using it on foot in hard to navigate cities is not that good and it can suffer from either slowdown or not function properly. It also has a tendency to not be able to pinpoint locations mistakenly assuming you are inside a building or under some cover.
But as it is totally free it is one of the must have apps out there.read more
