After many late nights of brainstorming and collaboration, husband and wife team, Syd and Shea McGee decided to take what was a small business for a stay-at-home mom and turn it into something much more. After graduating with a degree in Public Relations, Shea realized that what she really wanted to do was design. A few semesters into design school, her bright and clean aesthetic had attracted a waiting list of clients and no idea how to handle the workload. Meanwhile, Syd had worked for six years to build a start-up digital marketing firm that was acquired and left him searching for a new start-up to dive into. He soon realized there was the perfect candidate right in front of him. Their team's work has garnered attention in the design world from House Beautiful, Domaine Home, Design*Sponge, Apartment Therapy, SMP Living, and One King's Lane to name a few.

I really hate to do this but for this expensive of furniture I want customers to know the truth before they purchase.I ordered the Fleur Table January 2. The shipping timeline was advertised and continues to be advertised on their site as 4-6 weeks. Around 6 weeks I reached out to see if it had shipped. I was told it would now not arrive until end of April. Since April hit I’ve had to reach out multiple times to get updated timelines and continually get the response “we’ll check with our manufacturer and will get back to you in 5-7 business days”. I wait 8+ business days each time and reach out again and they say it’ll be another 5-7 business days. They’ve refunded me my shipping cost but still have not clearly communicated when I will receive my table. The last I heard was “ it’s unlikely to arrive by June 8th” . Other than that I have absolutely no clue when I’ll get my table. If I would have known in January that they were 6+ months out I would have never ordered. I understand covid delays but how hard is it to clearly communicate? I’ve ordered from lots of companies in furnishing our home throughout 2020-2021 and never dealt with these kind of delays or lack of communication.

Delivery took forever

I ordered the "Walt Bed" and it took over 3 months to deliver. I was notified when I purchased the bed to expect delivery in 6 weeks,so I was already prepared to wait. I emailed them 4 separate times leading up to make sure the bed was still on track to be delivered when expected, and every time I was told "Yes it is on track". However, when the 6 weeks got here I emailed them back and they responded with "Sorry, there has been a delay and it will be another 2 months before you receive the bed". We finally received the bed last night. The only reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1 is the quality of the bed seems fine - definitely overpriced but it looks just like it did in the picture which is good. If anyone is thinking about ordering from them, be aware that the delivery time will probably be months before you receive the product.

Do not order from this company. I was deciding between Studio McGee and Shoppe Amber Interiors on a bed,ultimately went with Studio McGee because of time quoted 8-10 weeks. It's been 25 weeks and I'm still waiting on my bed. It's been a nightmare, and I would've canceled a long time ago but kept getting told that it was coming when it wasn't.

I wish I could give this company negative stars. I ordered the $1700 Ophelia bed and it broke within days.The customer service was beyond horrendous. It took them over a month to send me the parts to fix the bed after I sent countless emails, and they sent me the wrong parts. They were not helpful at all and after i voiced my frustration they blocked my number and never helped me resolve the problem.

I have spent thousands of dollars with McGee and co . Their customer service has always been a joke but it has gotten ridiculous the last few months .If you can’t run a legit business don’t . They are clearly pocketing all their profits and not spending a dime to increase their customer loyalty. I’ve swore several times I’d never go back and this time I’m definitely not . I’ve been getting the run around on two extremely overpriced art for months . Both showed up broken through XPO delivery and Mcgee and co response is we’ll get back to you in 5 weeks . They suck !

Horrible Customer Service When purchasing quality furniture at a premium price the expectation is that 1)it will arrive and 2) it will be accurate (ie the item you actually ordered and 3) if you have a problem or need to return the item (say because it’s not the item you purchased) it will be resolved quickly. NONE of these are true at McGee & Co. Buyer Beware.

Never purchase anything from McGee and Co. I purchased multiple pictures from them with a guarantee of 6-8 weeks.Its now be 12 weeks with no update on my order. I asked for them to cancel my order after 9 weeks and they said they were backuped up due to COVID but because it an non-cancelable item I couldn't stop my order. Plus at no time did they ever contact me to say it was delayed. If I had not reached out I don't know if they ever would. And in all their emails was nothing more than "Sorry!" Never purchase anything from them.

One of the worst customer experiences I’ve ever had. I agree with a lot of the comments below.The price tag on these items does not justify the complete lack of accountability for customer service, timeliness, and proper business in general. We ordered $3k of product Dec 2020 with a back order date in January. That date came and went with zero communication. I reached out to customer service to be replied to a week later with no apology and just giving me a new date. Same scenario happened again. Called customer service who was RUDE and completely arrogant. Again, no apologies or accountability. I will NEVER shop here again.
