As a passionate wildlife photographer I believe that wildlife and environmental conservation comes with the job. Graham Elliott Photography is about supporting environmental projects through the use of images, books and education. Proceeds from product sales will go to certain projects to help ensure that they continue their vital work. I strongly believe that it's not enough to simply watch the occasional wildlife film and then forget about it. As a community and as a civilisation we are totally dependent on our environment. If it can't support us we will fail. The balance of key wildlife species shows us whether or not we are doing the right thing. Clearly we are not and it is delusional to think that we can continue to abuse the resources available to us. The problem becomes worse because those with the most abundant environments and species are often the poorest. And they want what the rich have! So wildlife and environmental issues just get in the way of those people achieving their goals. We are a world community and we are either part of the solution; actively taking steps to reestablish a balance, or part of the problem; focusing on short-term needs and waiting for someone else to 'fix-it'. There is no middle ground. The good news is that it doesn't matter how little you do, just do it consistently. Make sure the balance of your impact on our amazing planet is a positive one.
