Udlændingestyrelsen er en styrelse under Udlændinge- og Integrationsministeriet. Vores hovedopgave er at administrere den lovgivning, der omhandler udlændinges adgang til og ophold i Danmark. Vi afgør sager om asyl, familiesammenføring, permanent ophold og visum. Ligesom vi er ansvarlige for indkvartering af asylansøgere. Udlændingestyrelsen har ca. 640 medarbejdere, som aktuelt er fordelt på lokaliteter i Allerød (Center Sandholm), Hørsholm og to lokaliteter på Østerbro i København. Styrelsen administrerer en årlig bevilling på 4,3 mia.kr., hvoraf asylindkvartering m.v. udgør ca. 3,7 mia. kr. (2016).
