Shocking. They've got profiles which set their location to popular areas (so they show up to you)but in the profile say their in the phillipines. There are more of these than genuine people who live where I do. Also, I was enticed to paying the premium due to many hidden likes. After paying, it looks like most of them are based in the phillipines. Why don't they respect my "5 miles" preference? Well because they wouldn't have sold the premium plan to me, since I would've known how useless Ok cupid is.

This used to be a good website a few years ago. Most of the features were free, you could message anyone you wanted and I went on some good dates.Even ended up in a relationship.
I joined again recently and everything has changed.
The people I'm most "compatible with" don't match with me or message. I can't see any of the people who have liked me, or intros they've sent. It's locked behind a paywall. I'd have to pay £30 a month to see who's interested. There are more than 99 likes and 20 messages I can't see.
As well as that, I've found the new website difficult to navigate. There are too many questions asked and sections to fill in. The menu is too large. I don't feel comfortable giving out so much information to strangers. OkCupid asks a lot of political and personal questions. For me that's a red flag.
I honestly don't see why I should waste money considering other dating sites are cheaper (or free). Such a shame because it used to be a good site. Now it's a rip off.

Simply offensive and worthless. It's by no means free. Pay for a basic membership, then you see "likes " ,then you pay for a premium membership so you can see who "likes " you. EVERY SINGLE ONE is from a foreign and distant land. Fid I spend my valuable time ascertaining and identifying what my desired geographic parameters are? Yup. Did the interested women- fictitious or not - reside within those parameters? Sure, give or take 5,000 miles. BUT, I was encouraged to purchase a "BOOST" , so that the women - who allegedly have my profile available - would have the opportunity to "like" my profile. Scam. If I could give a Negative 5 Star review, that's a "BOOST" I'd pay for.

I get the sense they just want you to disclose your credit card info, and then that’s it..you’re lockedin forever
They try every trick in the book
My recommendation: Delete all dating apps and go outdoors and smile

I only spent one hour going through what they call stacks of profiles, when they all emptied out one after the other after looking at maybe 40 profiles,if that in each different stack, the only one available to search widely was the foreign stack, mostly women from depressed countries yeah mail order brides. And I had my options wide open as they will tell you when you complain of no one to view. But the further you expand your search in miles, not in the foreign stack, you end up with almost only American profiles... so you can't choose your own country to search for a date how pathetic is that especially when you can't cross the dam border with covid-19. No this was a big disappointment in my mind a scam if I wanted to mail order bride, I'd look for a site specifying that, I wouldn't expect to be tricked into it. I found out Facebook has free dating site and it's free from beginning to end no reason to deceive you. Don't waste your money on this disappointment.
