Thought l would put a Nice review on Ongo website Had our Bedroom radiator connected today the plummer was Len what an excellent job he has done found him to be courteous and very thoughtful about his work on the pipe work done an excellent job Len is certainly an asset to Ongo we are in Epworth Isle of Axholme

Gave 3 stars as natural as I'm actually a guiness partnership Tenant and just been informed ongo may be taking over there properties in North east lincolnshire Reading the reviews im doubtful that ongo are worse the guiness I just hope they fit new doors and windows and update the electrics and radiators kitchens and bathrooms as the property im in these need these all done due to guiness not listening to what need doing to keep the houses in good order and some of the workers they have actually saying they have done work and not currently im sat with heating on yes the radiators get hot but due to doors and windows causing active drafts there is little heart in the house I just hope this and other issues are sorted out when this company takes over even though I live on a well known estate in grimsby there are alot of decent tenants aswell as some bad ones the reputation of this estate is not actually anything like living on it I have lived in so called good areas and have had extremely bad infact nightmare neighbours from hell type thats why I moved where I am and had no problems apart from the landlord
Scunthorpe ongo are some what okay
Scunthorpe ongo are some what okay. I rang them up for support to help fill in paperwork, and to understand questions, and what they mean. Ongo was quite fast in responding, and offering assistance, very helpful. The 2nd time I ask for support, but this time for my mental health. They're not good support for mental health. They're very reluctant and very slow to offer support. It took them just over 2 months to respond. Whilst I was waiting I decided to go to the doctors and I explained to him about my mental health and in less than a week trained and professional Mental health services come to my flat with help and support. So there you have it They're happy to help with literacy and filling in forms and making phone calls for you but they are very reluctant and very slow to help with your mental health issues.

How bad is this rung and reported today that I can't get out my front door handle goes up and down but will nit open at all they jabe sent me me repair date 17th October 12pm... kitchen drawer to be fixed been near a yr .what is going on and alot the of the workers do cowboy job could.sometimes do better job my self .
Uncontainable water leak
Uncontainable water leak, days of no contact or response times given. 2 tradesmen were sent instead of actual plumbers who put flimsy tape around the damaged pipe which turned to pulp overnight and has now resulted in flooded cabinets and water dripping from the electrical sockets through the walls. Been told to wait 24 hours with this all happening and not sleep encase someone shows. Absolute madness. Useless company!

Ongo have been a complete disaster for the whole term of my tenancy. Over two years I’ve been waiting for several repairs, complained a couple of times about it and they still haven’t been fixed. Now after being in supported housing which was costing 350 pounds a week, and signing a new tenancy which has been paid for since day 1 by the council. I now all of a sudden have received letters threatening to evict me because even though my rent is paid for…. I need to pay more for some reason. The explanation they gave was that even though I’m £200 in advance they want me to be £800 in advance for some reason. Makes absolutely zero sense to do that for no reason. How they gonna pay back these people if they by some chance die whilst two months in advance? They won’t answer that question because they know the whole advance rent thing is complete nonsense

Well let's crack on. Ongo. Won't put me a toilet seat on that I had to buy even though my rents infront I rang. The. Cockyness. She told me go citizens advice coz of toilet seat told her ime desabled can't walk distances. Ime looking at other housing groups because I've no car. Desabled. There nothing in this Martins close for me got no one here and. Cost me 70 pounds taxi to hospital for biopsy it's waiste living here.of live when yu have no car and desabled in walking. Worst takeover Ongo are only interested in their rent!
Since Guinness homes sold this warden controlled place of living it’s been a nightmare! Between the council and Ongo not working together I found out that all our housing benefits were in suspension! Sending me bills and lots of threats on the phone they will go for an eviction notice and they are under the housing ombudsman awaiting for the Assessor to call and I have staged them up from 1 to 2 !!! Tried offering an apology during stage 1 of £150 but I refused to accept it and on stage 2 another apology came with £250 so I said no thanks!! I did eventually get my rent paid had to send housing benefits the letters from Ongo for the rent to get out of suspension and suddenly they wanted a month’s rent in advance! I am signed still with Guinness homes and I have already paid in advance for this flat just because you bought them out I wouldn’t pay twice for rent in advance they admit that I am a Guinness tenant. There is a warden here but doesn’t do any care or even visits voluntarily checking on your welfare which they should check weekly especially since I fractured my wrist and no has even knocked on my door! Empathy is Nil and surely the lack of care and compassion shows that you are not cared about here and has a duty of care towards each resident but when I complained and the boss of the warden called to see me but the warden still hasn’t visited 🤬 I do wonder what the warden’s role is but honestly we don’t need one because it’s independent living but many times I have had my calls ignored!!! Social services wanted my key safe code but I don’t know if social services emailed the warden?? I am a disabled lady already and fell in my flat so as no help from Ongo just trying to threaten me constantly!! I do hope the Assessor makes his decision on the facts that I have emailed with my evidence! No one is allowed to threaten the vulnerable people living here! Garden’s are a mess but Ongo just pay for a cut yet we pay £53 month in service charges! The rent is £88 so you can see what we are charged for they employ contractors to do jobs here!! Shoddy cheap ones so I am very unsatisfied with Ongo homes. They employed a guy to tidy the garden but unbelievable he’s off sick jeez 🙄 Window service appalling using a brush with water from a tank on his van and you don’t clean windows like that and it’s so dangerous having hose pipes obstructing our courtyard! So a few of us got our own window cleaner because we have had enough! Dealt with a neighbour and the friend selling drugs and so many times I reported them to the police and landlord and good grief closed the case saying Coercion which is just a joke years I’ve endured their behaviour and constant visitors at the flat and so many times the police kicked their door in!! So unfair that eventually the new neighbours helped to report them and finally they were evicted so now it’s a sensitive let here not good their policies and took Ongo long enough to evict them honestly!! Regarding the common room it’s equipped with a washer and dryer in another room and there’s a kitchen! There is no community spirit here and they haven’t even removed all the benches outside left rotting and we pay enough so I am basing my opinion on the situation and negligence and the only time you receive any letters it’s usually about rent! None of us are happy here it’s in a rough area of Crosby and many residents have left and some moved in and not long later they left I don’t blame them either! I’m hoping that the Assessor makes a decision and finds Ongo are in the wrong and I want justice for what they have put me through and sanction them where necessary!! I have sent enough evidence on my case and complaint. I am heartbroken no one cares about me when I moved here I was promised to be cared about and since I have broken my wrist I feel uncared about and 7 x did the warden ignore my calls so there’s no point in engaging with Ongo who act like bullies and no wonder residents leave!! Even my Social worker was horrified when I told her that no one cares and thanks to the Home Care Service from the hospital they came to help me with washing and preparing my breakfast and making a sandwich for lunch. I don’t know how I would have coped without the carers on a short term basis and I feel neglected by Ongo homes!! FACT they do not care!!
