The quality of the floor

I love the floor, because of its texture, colour, easy to clean and tolerates dogs walking on it without any scratchers visible.

Very nice floor and it was easy too put it in place. The only negative is that it feels a little slippery when using synthetic socks.

Do not install this Pergo product in Arizona

Do not install this Pergo product (or any of their products) if you live in the South West. I'm not sure why they even sell this in Arizona. Learn from our mistake. We live in Gilbert, a suburb of Phoenix and a couple years ago we decided to remodel our house. We went to our local Lowes and found this brand new Pergo product which at the time was supposed to be their latest and greatest product. We really liked the look and feel of the planks and the label said it was waterproof. We were sold. We asked the Lowes flooring expert about acclimation and he told us as long as our house temperature was close to the same as the store we didnt really have to let it acclimate but Pergo recommends 48 hours. An IMPORTANT NOTE, all the important information you NEED to know is printed on the back side of the label which is located under the plastic that covers the package. Anyways, we made the purchase and actually let the flooring acclimate in our house for over a MONTH. We thought surly this would be long enough for any shrinkage to occur before we installed it. NOPE!!!!! Here is where its important to read the teeny, tiny writing on the back of the label. Its so small that even with my readers on I had to use my phone. The most important part for our installation and for anyone who lives in the S.W. is, "Laminate floor is suitable for use in climate controlled (35-65 RH and 60-85° F) indoor installations only". Well here in greater Phoenix area the relative humidity swings are greater than 35-65. We installed our flooring in the early summer where the humidity was in the 40-45% range. During the middle of the summer it climbed into the 50-55% range. Everything was looking GREAT, until the Fall and Winter where the humidity level drops down to the teens. We started to notice some small separation between some of the planks (not all) and then they got bigger and bigger to eventually gaps of 1/8 of an inch. WTF?!?!?!? We took photos, opened up a claim with Pergo through Lowes. They (Pergo) sent out a "flooring expert" to evaluate our installation. He confirmed that yes indeed there was major separation. He submitted his report to Pergo and they responded to our claim saying they were not going to do anything for us. Again, WTF?!?! If you are dead set on buying and installing this product do it in the winter when the humidity is low and the flooring has shrunk and make sure you give enough space for it to expand in the summer. And you might want to also buy a whole house humidifier to eliminate the humidity swings.

I sent for some samples

I sent for some samples and I was hugely disappointed when it arrived from the United Stated of America. If I had known that they would ship an individual package across the atlantic for me to feel it, i wouldn't have bought it. Since i live in sweden and Pergo originally was founded in sweden with endless retailers i thought it would be a short shipping. I would not recommend anyone buying samples from the online shop. Ended up buying a totally different flooring from Pergo but from a local shop. Love our flooring, hate the individual shipping for samples.

Pergo floors - nightmare - 5500 sq ft house

We covered our entire new build (5,500 square ft) with pergo coastal oak flooring in Ireland. Worst decision we ever made. The floors were fitted by a professional which initially looked great. Within months the floors started chipping and separating. Two reps from Pergo visited our house seperately and tried to blame how the floors were fitted (our floor fitter has over 25 years experience). No responsibility accepted and we were basically told that Pergo would give us single boards as a courtesy to replace the chipped boards. Sorriest move I ever made was covering my entire house in Pergo flooring. Every room has spacing in the floors or chips in the floorboard. Would not recommend in a million years. Pergo floors are a waste of money, not to mention their complete lack of customer care given the amount of money we gave them.

Cant handle simple sample send out.

Ordered samples over a week ago and nothing received. If they cant even be bothered to send samples they are useless. Shows me they are not worth the bother.
