Plastiq has a ineffective customer service that will not answer questions. They do not have mechanism to deliver payment on time. I tried them based on a youtube video and discontinued.

I have set up numerous payments using this platform. They were authorized set up on recurring, and then I received avoided transactions saying they were not supported on the platform. I provided all the documentation they asked for they allowed the payments to continue forward and then arbitrarily a couple of months later canceled them. Additionally, they indicated that other payments were not supported on the platform however, their own policies indicate they are supported. This company is very difficult to deal with because they only use email communications and you’re required to copy and paste the ticket number into a different email to deal with a different division not the division that replies and rejects therefore, there’s also a lot of confusion as to which transactions you’re discussing if you have multiple transactions and with whom you’re actually dealing with. There is also no way to get a professional on the telephone to resolve any issue. It appears as if this company does not have a consistent policy. They arbitrarily decide based upon the representative that reviews your transaction if they want to cancel it or not. I have had several missed payments because of the service so although it sounds good that you’re able to use a credit card to gather points for air miles, etc. it hasn’t really worked out that way because of the poor customer service and the poor attention to detail the poor functionality of this company and the unprofessional responses. The people making the decision don’t seem to understand some general business acumen to verify information.
Do not recommend — Legit rent prepayment flagged and canceled
I attempted to make a legitimate advance rent payment ($18,750 total for 5 months @ $3,750/mo) to my landlord using Plastiq. I provided signed lease excerpts, invoices for each month, and highlighted language showing rent can be paid “on or before the 1st”. Despite all documentation, Plastiq canceled the transaction and told me to “take my business elsewhere,” refusing to reinstate it. This was not an overpayment, but a lawful, contractually permitted prepayment. While Plastiq’s TOS doesn’t prohibit such transactions, their internal risk rules arbitrarily blocked it. If you rely on this service for important bills, note it may cancel legitimate transactions without cause. Bottom line: If you need reliability for large payments, this is not the service you want. Update: To Business Response This is untrue and was reviewed in their TOS. Please see section 5.4 and justify your argument.

They are Fraud or incompetent at best
I don’t know how they get more than 1star rating because they are scam and incompetent at best. They charge and take money from your account immediately but take over 5business days to process the transaction. In my case, I was told after waiting 5days the transfer failed. No reason no explanation. I sent several email to them, guess what no reply. I had to cancel the transaction and was told I need to wait another 3-5business days to get refund.
AVOID!!…
I had a horrible experience with this service. They made my mortgage payment late on five occasions, resulting in a nasty hit to my credit score. DO NOT use them! The headaches I had dealing with them and their customer service was in no way worth the extra points on my credit card.
Headache-inducing service
Plastiq doesn't even deserve 1 star. Their customer service is atrocious, their professionalism horrid, and their business approach detestable. I paid extra for urgent service for same-day ACH delivery to a payee. They did not deliver the payment for 2 days. They kept requesting more documentation every couple of hours for 2 days (and I kept providing them) until I got tired and canceled the transaction. I don't know how they can still be in business if this is how they do business.
