I recently bought a polar ignite 2

I recently bought a polar ignite 2, after 10 days I had problems with charging being recorded as sleep, and had two hours charge time.I emailed customer service and they did reply quickly. I presumed they would send me out a replacement if a factory settings restart didn’t help, and after checking warranty details it seemed like if something is faulty it should be replaced if within a Couple of weeks. Apparently not the case, as it was used. I’m not sure how you can tell if somethings defective if you don’t use it. They want you to send it to be assessed but can take 10 days to process. Having it a little over a week and sending it off for 2 week turnaround already seemed strange, and was trying to keep a strict training log.
Using it until I get too annoyed , partly as a lesson to myself for not looking at trust pilot before purchase!read more

Product is fine WHEN IT WORKS

Product is fine WHEN IT WORKS. When it doesn't work you have to go through about a week of emails back and forward whilst they helpfully ask you if you have turned it on and off 100000000 times. Then, despite only having it for a week you will have to send it to be repaired (you will pay shipping). THEN despite the fact that the product was clearly ****** when you bought it, they will kindly 'repair' it for you and send it back 'fixed' (you know - where any other company would apologise and send you a replacement). Looking forward to repeating this process now that the 'fixed' watch is ****** again. Thanks guys!
Everyone accepts that problems can happen and things can arrive faulty and need replacing. They don't expect that when this happens the broken product that you sold them mere days ago will be repaired (ish) and shipped back. The list of companies that do this properly is endless. Do betterread more

my customer experience was never again

I bought the polar vantage V2 and I did not like it.
The watch was not very useful and very heavy on my wrist.Just totally unsuitable.
The worst part was that I asked for it to be returned. They refused to accept it. It was within the legal 14 day period. They still refused under the argument that I had opened and warn the watch. I said I had to try it. They said that software that had been opened could not be returned. I argued I had not bought software but a smart watch. They did not budge.
I then involved my credit card company. They got me the money refunded. The polar people challenged and then this saga lasted for over 2 months.
After they had no further appeals, I wrote back to them and they accepted I return the watch.
They also paid for the postage.
I am ashamed to have been their customer.read more
4 stars for product, 0 stars for shopping site

I've used the Polar HR straps (various models - currently the H10) for years. I like the products.I've recently purchased a Polar Ignite. Overall, the device has the bells & whistles that I'm interested in. I don't need payment and other ancillary things.
The products get 4 stars - 4 stars for the Ignite and 5 stars for the HR straps.
Their shopping site gets ZERO stars. I can add products to the shopping cart without any issue. Yet I can not complete a transaction on the shopping site at all - as a guest, nor once logged in. There is no way to enter payment information. There ARE radio buttons to choose a credit card or paypal. Neither works. Clicking on 'submit' after checking the requisite legal boxes yields an error message.
The transaction could not be completed on the following:
MS Edge browser (PC laptop)
Internet Explorer (two different PC laptops)
Chrome browser (two different PC laptops)
Brave browser (PC laptop)
Safari on iPhone 6s (up-to-date iOS)
Safari on an iPad Air 2 (up-to-date ios)
All running the latest updates.
Hands down, their web site is SELLING THEATRE. All smoke & mirrors. Meanwhile, 3-4 clicks and keying in some data, I purchased the Ignite on a different company's web site for 20% off due to a holiday promotion.
Who cares since I can buy it on amazon or some other retailer, right? When Polar drops a 40% off deal on the Ignite during their holiday sales on their shopping site, then heck yes, I want the discount.
I reached out for help from their customer service folks. They were professional and responsive. Kudos. After multiple emails detailing what browsers I was attempting to buy the Ignite on, I was advised to call them to complete the order or buy it from a retailer they recommended. Of course, that retailer didn't have the 40% off sale price.
What was especially dispiriting were the endless emails "this is still in your cart". Clicking on the link to complete the transaction yielded "Your cart is empty" message.
Why not just revamp the shopping site to use Shopify rather than some homegrown shopping site. Or is their site just a way to irritate the heck out of customers and then tell them to call the customer service folks on the phone to buy the product. The site just plain doesn't work if they actually want folks to buy their products from them.
I actually hesitated purchasing the Ignite as I had a less than stellar experience a couple of years ago with them. I had an older wrist monitor to go with a Polar H7 strap that I needed a new wrist band for. I couldn't buy the replacement watch band anywhere, not even on amazon. Instead, I had to send the monitor to their location in New York state and pay $45 for a replacement band. There was no way to replace the monitor band without involving them directly. Who does this kind of business today? A company that's not paying attention to customer shopping trends and behaviors.
I adore their HR straps and have been happy with the Ignite. Even the Polar Flow and Beat apps work well for my needs. The company needs to copy how successful businesses sell in the current marketplace since they're not doing well in this space at all. It's a real turn-off. Note that I try to buy from businesses who aren't named amazon as we need more than one place to shop. I like to support businesses who create products I like to use.
Since the 2020 holiday season when I did buy the Ignite, I've tried a couple of times to buy products on the site. Same issue. I did it more out of curiosity to see if the site was finally working. Nope.
My recommendation to Polar:
1) use shopify as they can make sure your stuff will be purchaseable by consumers
2) stop claiming you sell directly and just let other companies sell your products as you guys stink at itread more

Zero service. Absolutely incompetent and they do not care. If you care at all to have customer service buy your products elsewhere.Your time will be wasted, you will be jerked around and you will end up frustrated and completely without help. Too bad, too. I like the watch I bought if it would just work all the time and not need service. And their online ordering is an obstacle course apparently designed to keep any orders from getying thru without first wasting an hour of time or giving the customer a stroke from frustration whichever comes first.
Just seek other companies to do business with.read more
