From its headquarters in Cologne, the venerable family-run company conquers the world of travel: The long-established, owner-run company with its own production facilities has been based in Cologne for around 115 years. Most of the nearly 200 work steps it takes to produce a suitcase are performed by hand. This is the only way to maintain the high-end standards of quality RIMOWA has set for itself. A true exception in the industry. Thanks to continual expansion, since 2008 the location in Germany has been joined by an international network of additional production facilities in the Czech Republic, Canada and Brazil. The high-quality products made by hand in craft workshops are distributed worldwide in 65 countries through authorised dealers, company-owned shops and flagship stores. Selective sales through co-operation arrangements with German premium brands such as Lufthansa and Porsche are emphasised. Whether the venerable aluminium suitcase or the lightweight luggage made of the high-tech material polycarbonate: Thanks to the characteristic groove structure of its suitcase shells, RIMOWA design is unmistakable and recognisable at first glance. Even without a visible logo – as a popular prop in many international film productions, for instance – the 'suitcase with the grooves' is clearly identifiable. Although RIMOWA is already represented in countless countries, the next objectives have already been set: to become the luggage of choice worldwide for all people who associate travel with special expectations. Expectations of quality, function and design - and of an authentic travel experience.

I got two of the LITE collection. Cases are great quality and worth the price tag.I did have a mix up with my delivery however after a call with a customer care advisor it was sorted and I was send a landmark sticker for my inconvenience.

Purchased a cabin original silver from the Harrods outlet, on inspection When I took it home theinterior lining was peeling away this is because it is glued down; also the case didn’t shut right (apparently this common for RIMOWA's even new ones), the locks were some of the worst I have ever seen (most other company’s use metal) I personally would never get this bag again simply due to The fact it probably would not be able to hold up with regular use. Rimowa is not what it used to be anymore after LVMH Took it over; LVMH RIMOWA Focus more on luxury collaborations such as Dior, Off white, and supreme.
Anybody considering aluminium luggage, look at Tumi 19 degree, samsonite lite-box Alu, zero Halliburton (US only as no repair support in EU) or away aluminium (if on a budget)
I personally got the 19-degree aluminium from Tumi, a better warranty, better quality, a bit heavier, but Tumi has sales so that you can get it then.

I order online on Rimowa’s website, a suitcase L for almost $800 dollars . They ship to your house and “signature is required “ to receive the package.The problem is, in my case, never received the package, never signed anything. I Miss 2 days at work waiting for the suitcase. Ups marked as delivered but it wasn’t there. They said it was signed by C R, not even my initials, there’s not picture, nothing. They Open an investigation, 10 business days later, Rimowa don’t contact you as they should, nobody follow up and when you call, the package is consider lost and “there’s nothing they can do”. So, I just accept 800 dollars lost? Terrible customer service, terrible process. And I’m still waiting.
Don’t buy it from RIMOWA!

Just a pretty box with broken dividers

Ohhh now I see, I am not the only one to complain! Awful service on New Bond street.Flex divider broke after one trip (it was no overfilled, it's the zipper that broke leaving my computer trapped inside one side). Then few trips later so did the structure leaving my things all around not being able to close it in the airport! After multiple friendly and useless whatsapp conversation with customer service I was told it is not covered by the warranty (the divider) and I have to order new one at 82GBP! Hmmm got myself a pretty useless suitcase box for 800GBP...and now I have to pay more to make it close. Awful, dont buy - really no worth it!

RIMOWA is "style over substance". You pay for the name. My luggage was beautiful and classy but it fell to pieces after 2 trips.DO NOT recommend.

I bought two suitcases of this brand last winter. The first was AIR and the second ORIGINAL Check-In.And now I'm so exciting. After a few trips, the suitcases look like new.

Bad quality and bad support.
Not the expected German quality and service.
The lock keeps breaking.Rimowa
replaced one lock that lasted just a year and ask now 49 euro exclusive vat to replace it.
Why do they have to make money to helping a customer on selling spare parts for top money.
Would not advice to buy Rimowa anymore.
