What does RPM Training Co do?

We've seen a lot of double-unders over the years, and almost equally as much double-under frustration. Reminding our members not to "double-under angry" was a frequently used coaching cue long before it was the RPM mantra. In an effort to conquer this issue, we scoured the market for the best rope for CrossFit competition and double-under mastery, only to find a critical flaw in every one we tried. Some of them wouldn't stay together during intense workouts. Others were uncomfortable in the hands and hard to hold onto once a serious sweat was induced. Many had handles that would slide down the length of the rope, requiring a handle adjustment before every set. Most were made of cheap plastic that frequently broke with all the abuse we were giving them. And some were just too clunky and slow. Then, after we saw so many athletes using big clunky ropes and struggling mightily with the double-unders during the first ever CrossFit Open workout back in 2011, we decided that in order to find a better solution for the double-under element, we needed to create it ourselves. As designers with the convenient combination of an engineering background and a CrossFit gym as a testing ground, we set out to make a jump rope unlike any other.
