I ordered my shop keep system at the scariest time. The pandemic was starting and I was at a crossroads of do I keep going and open this business or do I stop!I decided to move forward and it was with the help of Shop keep and all of their support that made this experience so much less frightening at one of the scariest times in our history. I continue to have questions I need guidance and they are always there for me. I recommended them to a family member my cousin who is opening her business at the end of this monthAnd we both share a love for ShopKeep! Allie Schultz you rock thank you for the encouragement!

We have used shopkeep for 5 years now and it has really met all of our needs quite well.They often release new updates that make it even better and more user friendly to things that their customers have asked for. I’ve always had great customer service and if I do hit a snag, they’ve always been able to figure it out for us!

Shopkeep helped me with easy to setup and use service and POS app to help me get on my retail open fast,convenient reports, loyalty program and much more! I'm really not using the features to it's maximum capability, but this is very helpful for my accountant. I especially love the convenience I have to look up sales in real-time from my phone.

Ordered ShopKeep for a business that we were about to open. Two weeks before we were to acquire a restaurant the owner decided she wasn't renting to us anymore.We bought a lot of equipment and ready to move stuff in to start setting up. So we switched focus from a restaurant to do an ethnic grocery store and gift shop. (Jamaican) Shopkeep Switched our account to a new name and herewith us for every question, every concern to allay our fears. Awesome team really 24/7.

Not fully transparent about their requirements

This company was not forthcoming that their services require a dedicated network. As a result,I am unable to open my business because their credit card reader will not work with security cameras on the same network. They have literally caused me to be unable to open.

This is by far the best company for customer service that we have used they are fast, patient and kind.They were on the phone for 1 hour or more helping us set up and never once made us feel like they didn't want to help.

Why has ShopKeep's help dept gotten so bad?

We have had ShopKeep for about 4 years. I love the ease of the BackOffice and the interface with the iPad registers.HOWEVER - their customer service (ie: the help button that connects you with their chat representatives) has become completely worthless. I recently asked how to refund one of my customers who had paid with a credit card a few days earlier. I was told by ShopKeep that they wouldn't and couldn't help me and I needed to contact my credit card merchant provider and have them process the credit. Fortunately my merchant provider (not ShopKeep) researched how to process a credit card refund through ShopKeep (which is actually a detailed write up under ShopKeep's articles) and provided me with the answer that I was looking for. This means that either the ShopKeep help representative either didn't know about their own credit card refund procedure or couldn't be bothered to explain to me how to do it. I have noticed a distinct "fall off the cliff" level of customer help over the past year. Is this related to covid? Is this related to ShopKeep being bought out by Lightspeed? I don't know and I don't really care why this has happened but it has. What I do know is that I would not recommend any new company purchasing this program unless you are confident that you will never need any help or unless you are confident this lack of help will be "fixed" at some point soon.
