NEVER AGAIN. Ordered some gifts at Christmas. Items arrived AFTER the holiday and due to their absurd return policy,I could not return them. The items took almost 4 weeks to arrive in the first place. To top it off, none of the items were the proper size. They were clearly mislabeled. Now I have to donate $200 worth of clothes. Don't waste your time or money on Sierra Trading. Customer service is criminally bad.

This company customer service is the worst yet. I will NEVER ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY ONLINE EVER AGAIN.THEY SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO TAKE MONIES OUT OF YOUR ACCTS TILL MERCHANDISE IS SHIPPED. YOU TAKE PEOPLE MONEY THEN IN RETURN GIVE VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. THEY MAKE EXCUSES UP AS TO Y THE MERCHANDISE IS NOT SHIPPED TO THE STORES IN A TIMELY MANNER. EVERYONE WANTS TO USE COVID-19 TO GET CUSTOMERS TO FEEL SORRY FOR THEM. NEVER WILL I ORDER ONLINE FROM THIS COMPANY AGAIN.

My first time here...I was so impressed with how the cashier Nick handled things with a gift return without the tag that I had.Nick took the time to look up the price of item and not just tell me he couldn't help me. Very friendly and thorough. I will definitely come back!

STP is now Sierra.com , big whoop , things change. STP RIP, I've shopped you since 1999 when I was a newbie turned on by one of your catalogs by a fellow STP junkie.This is online shopping, so it's a risk you take. I've spent thousands $$ on hard core quality outdoors/sporting stuff and clothes/home goods. I'm happy to say that 95% of the stuff I've purchased satisfied me beyond belief. The other 5% was a lesson learned or retuned for credit. The new ownership still offers great deals, you just have to be a savvy shopper and be prepared to be disappointed. Be patient, follow the new policies and enjoy the savings. Amazon and Walmart are not
online angels either, I've thrown away more stuff from them because they are not worth my time having to deal with their BS. Pick your poison. I'm sticking with sierra.com if they have what I want, I will google their prices before I purchase just to be sure...free shipping with 89.00 purchase is the standard right now, so it's still a good deal.
Things change, they might just add more coupons
once this dreaded covid thing is controlled.
+ Plus I can use my TJmax/home goods rewards here also. So far it's been a five star trip for me :) thanks STP and Sierra.com

Horrible customer service. I had no idea Sierra Trading Post was bought up. This makes so much sense now.I had good experience in the past, but this time, just horrible. I bought cross country ski boots on their website. I received them less than 2 weeks ago. I just tried them out last weekend and nearly broke my foot. The shoe didn't fit into the old 3-pin binding properly and the soft rubber made me slip out multiple times. They should be lucky I didn't break anything, because I would have sewed them after this response. Dear Amy sent me a nice automated message without any recognition of me nearly breaking my foot, which I clearly stated in my message to them. Read for yourself. I'm sure multiple people are getting the same message:

Nice products but horrendous return policy and customer service. Only allow 40 days for return or exchange.Return shipment slip says differently and also call to customer service yet a different policy. Horrible instructions on return - 2 different ways online don't match. Decided to sell product that didn't fit my son (despite usual fit for his size) on FB Marketplace. Make sure you will keep what you order or NOT worth it.

UPDATE: After I filed a claim with the BBB, Sierra eventually refunded me the cost of the shirt (no shipping included,so it was $42, which was what I told them I'd accept since I did wear the shirt twice) in store credit.
Original review: They do not stand by their products. I ordered a $50 base layer shirt because I have trouble regulating body temp, and wanted one I could wear all winter that would last. I wore it twice indoors, did not ever dry it, and it developed pinhole tears at the shoulder and stomach after the second wash. It was supposed to be tough and last for a long time. The shirt has now been removed from their site. Now I have no base shirts and no money to buy different ones. Don't even bother contacting customer service if you're in a similar situation. They're condescending and do not care about the consequences of their policies.

Ever since STP was bought out by TJMaxx, the quality of service, as well as the quality of merchandise has gone downhill.I shopped STP for YEARS and never once was disappointed. What made it special was that it frequently offered high-end linens and other goods, in addition to clothing, at incredibly reduced prices, and the coupons were amazing. Now, it's just another big corporate-owned online shopping site, with low-end junk made in China, no coupons to speak of, and nothing special at all to be found there, so no longer worth paying any attention to.
