During storm Amy, the most wonderful young man, christen or Christian phoned me multiple times to make sure that I, an elderly disabled living alone, was ok and managing. I called him back to say thankyou and the total opposite response from someone who sounded like I'd woken him up. Dreadful I never could get through to Christian again but wow.. .he is the kind of customer service person everyone wants and needs. So if you're reading this Christian, thankyou so much for going above and beyond your job description. You made a difference.

Been with SSE for years since the days of Swalec. They have always been good to me. Excellent Customer Service. Personally, I will be keeping my Gas Quantum Meter just in case it does get really Cold.
Website doesn’t work
I've been trying to create an account for several days, but the website stubbornly refuses to accept the postcode I'm entering correctly. Fix your website; it's impossible to register an account.
Still waiting for a response for incorrect billing/ debt collection after 2.5 years....
This is my third appalling review for SSE because I receive some partial communication from them (only in response to awful Trustpilot reviews) and when I email back with a specific question, I do not get a response. I have tried calling but after being on hold for over 20 minutes, here I am again attempting to get a response... I recently wrote a review in December on behalf a friend who passed away in November 2025 and his widow about an issue that was ongoing for 2.5 years where SSE had continued taking money for a meter that had been removed and even though the ombudsman had ruled in favour of my friend, SSE had failed to make the appropriate repayments and he/ then his widow were being chased by SSE's debt collection partners. We have had a partial resolution - the year of incorrectly billed money has been returned with a goodwill payment for SSE's error however we have not had an response to the debt collection payments which were made (the debt collection were erroneously chasing/ hounding my friends widow in the aftermath of his death). It is shocking that once again I have needed to resort to Trustpilot in an attempt to get SSE to put right this issue. Can someone (there is a named person dealing with this complaint but I don't want to detail here for privacy purposes however this is a bit of a joke now) please look at this as a matter of urgency? Can this be escalated please? This is making a dreadful situation worse.
Extremely unhappy about SSE services.
Extremely unhappy about SSE services. I have been waiting to have an unsafe box and wire replaced and updated now since October 3rd. It is now December 17th. SSE have delayed the date to come out again and again. Finally I had a date today, 17th December to attend between 8 and 10 this morning. I waited in the cold with no heating or hot water at the address. I even called SSE at 10, as there was no sign of them. The phone caller advised that they would be attending and in readiness my my new smart meter being fitted tomorrow. But at 11.04 I received a text message to say that they couldn't now attend until January! I am appalled by how this company have wasted my time and make no communication to advise until it's too late. Awful service

Sse is the worst supplier on this country. I switched to new suplier 5 month ago and this scamers still sendind invoices to my address. AVOID FOR ALL COST. SSE SHOULD BE CLOSED PERMANENTLY

I hope to see them in court of justice. Some one must stop them . It’s a shame to see and read How they abuse everyone . It must be good money they pay to employees otherwise how reckless they can be to work for this company.

Absolutely unacceptable service. Today, without any proper notice or communication, SSE Business Energy sent a team to our business and removed our electricity meter during peak trading hours—the busiest time of the entire week. As a result, our business has been forced to close for two full days (Saturday and Sunday) because no one from SSE works over the weekend to address the damage they caused. This action shows: • Zero respect for small businesses • Complete lack of responsibility or planning • No understanding of financial impact • No customer care or accountability We were given no chance to discuss, resolve, or even understand the issue before they shut us down. The team simply arrived, removed the meter, and left us with a business that cannot operate until Monday. This has caused significant financial loss, destroyed our weekend trade, and put unnecessary stress on our entire team. For a large company like SSE to behave this recklessly is shocking. If you are a business owner, think twice before trusting this company. Their communication is terrible, their actions are sudden and disruptive, and they take no responsibility for the impact they have on businesses. Deeply disappointed. Highly unprofessional. Would never recommend.
