No help to me wasted a lot of my time

After about 3 phone calls telling them my significant drop in income due to loss of business /unemployed
I have had no offer of debt consolidation from stepchange and more of a response in how
i seem to have enough money & I’m spending it.
Well I haven’t got any to spend I’m on universal credit rock bottom ..
put a lot of effort and time on the phone explaining my situation even my partner had debts so included his
I ended up sorted it myself and called who I owed money to and set up re payment plan that way which took me even more time very stressful
and reason I contacted stepchange
to avoid this not help me in worst time of my life needed help yet did it all myself in the end the hard way!!
And I’m sorry I don’t spend beyond my means or am I reckless with money as when your on Universal credit you don’t have any money to splash about
Waste my time costing me more now as repayments are going out all over the place.
And this has nothing to do with pandemic it was way before then.
Sorry only postive is they was very nice on the phone.

A charitable organisation like StepChange is life changing. Five years ago, I was in debt and suffering with stress from a financial situation I couldn't get out of.StepChange turned that around for me. They gave me hope, security and an affordable dignified, empowering way out of the mess my finances were in. Being with them taught me financial responsibility. I'm now debt free, proud, empowered and I can start to have choice and freedom again, financially. I'm still amazed there is no cost to this first rate service. Thank you so much.

I just want to say a massive thank you to all the team at Step Change for helping me in resolving my financial situation.I am giving Steo Change 5 stars as its fully deserved.
Lockdown has been difficult for alot of people, and unfortunately more people are struggling financially. Step Change do not charge any fees for there services, and most companies do. So I am extremely grateful for there help, and my case was handled quickly and brilliantly from day 1. Full marks on customer service for me.
