Amazing cloud backup solution!

Amazing service, I've been using it for years, and i love it!!! The only thing that needs improvement is the android and windows app...They need a ui overhaul and more backup options... Except for this, everything is amazing and i trust them!!!!

A good backup service hampered by really clunky software.

I've been using Sync for 5 years now, mostly for music backup. However I'm starting to get really frustrated with how clunky the UI is.If I want to download a full folder, I can't do that from my account, I have to create a link, and use that link to download the folder. This makes absolutely zero sense, and I understand that encryption means that it will take a bit longer to download the files, but it's painfully slow. If I were to have a catastrophic local data loss, it'd probably take me weeks just to download the 500GB of data I have backed up. They advertise a Windows app, it's not an app, it's just a folder you can backup files from. It doesn't give you an interface to upload and download files to different folders in the Sync interface. Definitely going to move elsewhere unless they improve their user experience, tbh the only reason I'm still around is because I've still got 500GB of storage for $50 a year due to legacy pricing. But iDrive offer 5TB for $70, so I'll be moving there after my subscription expires.

Good privacy protocol but horrible customer support

We've been using Sync.com since the company started. We switched from Dropbox because we wanted a wayto secure our data without others being able to pry since many of our files are sensitive intellectual property. However, from the beginning we've had problems with Sync that have only persisted or gotten worse. We're OK with the slow sync speeds as this is a price we'll pay for end-to-end encryption. What rankles us is the poor technical support. Whenever we have a problem, we'll log into our account on the web and seek out support. The only option is to email the company. There is NO CHAT. So if we have a serious, time-sensitive issue, we're out of luck. Worse, when Sync FINALLY gets back to us (usually a day or more later), their replies to our DETAILED email are terse, almost meaningless to us. It's as if they don't want to be bothered dealing with customer support. The problems seem easy to explain to us, but it's as if the Sync support team doesn't understand English well OR they're being purposely obfuscatory. We've been dealing with tech companies for the past 20 years for our small business & we're very sad to say that we've noticed a trend in navigating away from helpful customer support. Instead, paying customers are directed to wade through an ocean of generic, unhelpful "help" pages online or left on our own to Google possible solutions. It's a massive waste of time and an insult to loyal, paying customers. We won't be staying with Sync.com. We recently won a 5-year contract to significantly expand our business. But instead of having a company that doesn't care about helping us with the occasional problem, we'll invest in our own cloud storage architecture. Sync.com looks good on paper, but when the eventual problem happens, you're on your own, unless you enjoy wasting time (days to weeks) with confounding emails back and forth.

I thought I'd finally got a great solution with Sync, but I've had endless problems recently and no one ever responds to my emails asking for help.My colleague saves the main document (200MB), but it doesn't appear in my files, so I have to go to the web page to retrieve it. It's totally hit and miss - sometimes files appear, sometimes they don't. We paid for six users, so we're not on the free version. Thinking of transferring to Google now.

Currently my upload queue says that it will be complete in 26 days. 26 days!!!!! This is after already a week of uploading.Dropbox takes about 2-3 days to upload everything. Absolutely pathetic.

I like the companies mission, but it is missing a very critical feature live video streaming via vault.If this feature gets added it will be an easy 5/5 but till then it gets a 4 because this is a very much needed feature.

Sync is a reliable and secure cloud storage solution for our team. The software is easy to use and very efficient.Working on documents in our team shared folders was super convenient. We use the Mac and PC Sync desktop clients and it integrates really well. Sending and requesting files securely was super smooth. Our plan included the custom branding feature option making it feel like a complete client portal. For editing documents, the built-in integration with Microsoft Office 365 came in handy. This is a solid encrypted cloud storage solution that balances privacy, security and ease of use.

Terrible, hard to use interface. That and the vault simply does not work even with simple file transfers.I've lost a number of files unknowingly as there were no error reports to show transfers did not work before deleting. Even their customer service is non-existent. This is NOT a trustworthy service by any means. Too bad because I wanted to support a Canadian company and not a huge conglomerate like Google or Dropbox but I guess that's where I'll have to go in order to get reliable and safe service.
